Same story tayo paps. Sobrang wala akong alam sa cornering at madalas sbhin sakin wag gumamit ng break while cornering and just lean and or slow down early, pero di nmn lahat ng times i can slow down quickly lalo pag fast paced ang byahe (i joined endurance rides kasi). I find often find myself too fast or breaking too early kasi nga i try to avoid breaking while turning (following the common advise). Until i found out about trail breaking sa youtube and applied it on my rides... sobrang empowering sya and is part of the reason why i dont overshoot often anymore. Tama ka po, mas applicable ang trail breaking sa mga corners na hindi mo saulado or first time kang dadaan. Otherwise, no need na mag trail break if you know the curve.

Keep it up and more power on your channel.

Hi Sir. Thank you so much po for all of your efforts in sharing informative knowledge in regard to being a safer and smarter rider. I also watch other yt channels that also share their knowledge about this, and I love how you can simplify the explanation of the science behind the forces while riding the motorcycle. I also want to ask you a question po in regard to trail braking, is it not wise to always trail brake? Because I usually apply trail braking even when I’m driving a car, and I have seen the significant change when I enter into a corner or whenever there’s a sudden obstacle in front of me.
@learnmoto2 жыл бұрын
Hey Xander. Thank you for your support. It means a lot to know that our efforts are appreciated. I am in full agreement with Nick Ienastch of Yamaha Champion Riding School, Dave Palazzollo of Canyonchasers and other forward-thinking riders on the matter of trailbraking. As a matter of fact, Nick goes as far as saying that it is the CORRECT way of turning a motorcycle because of its effect on motorcycle geometry and traction. While I wouldn't use trail braking in going around the village and at slow speeds, I do use it a lot. It just makes things easier and safer. Trail braking affects cars in a similar way. It's actually a lot easier and more fun in a car because you don't have the risk of low-siding if you lose traction. I do use trail braking in a car once in a while to break or lessen traction at the rear in order to rotate the car and point it where I want to go--but like everything else, it depends on the situation. :)

@@learnmoto Thank you so much Sir. I just finished watching all of your videos, now I understand the pros and cons in regard to engine braking and trail braking. I’m still a newbie rider so as much as possible even when I’m driving my car, I try to practice all of those tips that you have shared and it greatly improved my driving experience on the road. Hoping that you’ll have more videos to share. I also hope that you’ll make a video about road conditions in the future because I think it will truly be helpful for other riders to know what to do on certain road conditions. Thank you and God bless.

Great explanation. When entry you let go of gas and just progressive apply break? Thank you
@learnmoto Жыл бұрын
Close throttle, progressive application of front brake until before turn in. Progressive release of front brake as lean angle increases.

@kibitu71652 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sir! (Newbie rider din and really appricate your content! ❤️💯)
@learnmoto2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Trail braking is a front brake technique, so combi brakes make no difference.
@Psyque23 Жыл бұрын
Sir tama po ba to countersteer first and when you get the lean angle that's when you start the trail breaking or sabay po ang dalawa? Jan po ako mejo lito.
@bmeasia4103 Жыл бұрын
Una ang braking to slow you down before the corner. Tuloy-tuloy ang braking as you lean the bike using countersteering, pero binabawasan mo ang brake pressure habang mas humihiga yung bike. Trail braking ends kapag okay ka na sa speed ng bike, and it is already pointing in the direction you want.
@junarcinas86333 жыл бұрын
@learnmoto2 жыл бұрын
When you're in the city or a high risk environment, it is highly recommended that you "cover" the brakes with least two fingers In case of an emergency, your fingers are already on the brake. You save about .6 of a second. At 60kph, that translates to about 5 meters--more than enough distance make a difference whether you crash or not.

Tapik tapik muna ba
@bmeasia41038 ай бұрын
Watch the video again.

Sir questin lang po. Is it safe to add a little rear brake kung sa tingin mo medyo alanganin yung corner speed mo? or mas maganda po ba na engine brake nlng?
@learnmoto3 жыл бұрын
When you brake, traction of the rear tire decreases, so mas delikado ito actually. It could lead to a skid and a high side crash. Learn trail braking. It's so much better. And it is the correct technique.

@learnmoto3 жыл бұрын
@@junarcinas8633 The rear brake is released before you lean the bike for the corner. Ang importante is that you do most of your braking before you enter the corner, pero hindi mo ire-release fully ang front brake. Mararandaman mo na nagta-tighten yung line mo. Just remember to be smooth with the brakes.

KAILANGAN BANG I-RELEASE ANG TROTLE HABANG NAG T-TRAIL BREAKING. SALAMAT
@learnmoto3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rey. Yes, kailangan nakarelease ang throttle. As a general rule, hindi pinagsasabay ang dalawang iyan. You get back on the throttle kapag nakita mo na ang exit.
