NO they are not same Oracle apps or oracle ebs or oralce erp are more are like same let me give u an simple explanation assume there is an furniture manufacturing company with more than 5000 employees and 3000 suppliers and 10000 customers U cant handle the finance and manufacturing details in old pen and paper style so obviously you need an software so now if you going for an IT company and telling your needs so that they can build a software for you they are quoting a 10lakh ruppes for creating a brand new software tailor made for ur company Now another option is oracle is selling an already created software called erp which u can customise according to ur business needs and it only going to cost you 4 lakh ... Now its very simple u will choose the oracle software because it is very cheap ..oracle erp consists of many modules like HR , financce ,scm , manufactuing etc.. ur company only needs manufacturing , finace and hr because manufacturing is to maintain ur production of furniture details , finance is for maintaing accounts for ur company and hr for maintaing employee data becoz u have more than 5000 employees working on ur company ... yah sorry for making it as an 10 mark question answer but I wanted to give an good understanding for you .. inside oracle apps u will use sql plsql oracle forms , reports, even java for oaf pages.. give some reseach in this following topics u can understand better
