Hi Suresh, we don't have a inbuilt component in SSIS to fetch data from jira api to SQL server. You would need to see if you can fetch data using C#.net, if yes then you can use C#.net code in ssis to fetch data from jira api. I have myself never tried fetching data from jira api and I don't have access on it as well.

Hi Aqil, Very useful.. Thank you for video!! Can you please explain me when we need to use OLE DB destination and when we need to use SQL Server destination? Difference between SQL Server destination and SQL Server compact destination?

1. If your sql server to which you are inserting data to is on the same machine where your ssis package is stored then you can use SQL Server destination but if your sql server is on another server and you are executing the ssis package from a different server or from same server then in both cases you can use OLE DB destination. Thus majority of time OLE DB is preferred. 2. SQL Server destination can write to a sql database, while SQL Server compact destination can write to a sql table in sql server compact database. SQL Server compact database is used for mobile devices.
