great lesson. I'm still struggling with this especially when ramping up the speed. Even though its not complex it IS difficult to get it sounding even close to right! One thing i noticed that i was doing wrong and correcting it made a big difference. I was playing the two (3-6)'s equal length or even the first one SHORTER. But then i noticed it's the 1st one which is LONGER - though both ARE fairly abrupt. Just putting it out there in case it helps anyone else.

Thanks for watching :) Yes, you can play it on a C harmonica, it's only when you want to play along with a backing track or band that you will need the correct key. It will be a bit higher on a C but you can still follow the tab and play it. Hope this helps! Cheers, Liam

Hi rashad johnson, you can play the tab using any key of harmonica but you will need an A harp to play along with the original. Many thanks. Liam

If i can ad a 'directional' request. I would love to see some more lessons on accompanying a singer to a track. IE harp to fill in the spaces in harmony (or as i like to call it sympathy rather than exact harmony) with the melody rather than actually playing the melody. I'm aware that this is improvisation, but some hints around specific songs would be good. :)

I don't play the intro like that. I don't bend the 3rd hole, nor do I tongue block between 3 and 6. I just blow on 6 twice. I'm not saying mine is right, but then I don't think anybody is. Little Walter is dead, he didn't tell anybody how he played it as far as I know, and his sound was distorted by amplification. On You Tube there are atleast 3 different harp players givning 3 different ways to play this rif!
