$BTI has a high dividend and undervalued based on DCF. Its a tabacco company so it's expected to have a low price. Still consistent and good div.

GSBD: Assume you invested $1000 on Jan 2020 and acquired 47.53 shares. For 2020,2021,2022 and 2023 one had a dividend of $1.80 per share which comes to $85.55 dividends per year. SO for 2020-2023, a total of $342 in dividends. But the price of the share in Jan 2024, valued your initial $1000 to $719. Include the dividends and it amounts to $1061. Back to square one. You lost on inflation. My point is that high dividend stocks are to be threatened with caution. The decline of this particular stock is higher than its dividend % so its not worth the risk.

Keep in mind BDC's and MLP's are not considered qualified dividends. They will be taxed as ordinary income regardless of how long you have held them.

My top dividend stocks are a little bit different because I live in the Netherlands so I'm also taking into consideration all the top stocks (and dividend tax I'd have to pay) in the Netherlands and European Union I'm just targeting in high yield dividend stocks that are top in their sectors: All the best for me are: - at Euronext Amsterdam: ING Groep NV, NN Group NV, Randstad Holding NV; - at SE's in the European Union (excl. NL): Engie SA, Allianz SA, Shell plc - at NYSE/Nasdaq: Southern Copper, ExxonMobil, Prologis But only one of them seems currently to be cheap enough to accumulate and that's what I'm doing for last few months 😏

Good video, but the main threat to all of these good arguments you make is the looming interest rate decisions this year, inflation numbers, the geopolitical situation, the upcoming US election. Each and every one of these mentioned could easily send all of the stocks you mentioned in one direction or another despite the FCF and other interesting numbers.

Great video. It is important to note that dividends from BDCs are generally taxed as ordinary income and not a capital gain like qualified dividends, so that may be something people want to consider. With that being said, even if you were paying 25%-30% of that dividend in taxes, you are still coming out ahead of a 4% dividend. BDCs are a great investment, assuming the loans are good. I also noticed on the Abbvie video that the colors on the pie chart for Botox cosmetics and Humira were very similar. You mentioned the Humira being the large section. It would be interesting to know how much life is left on the Humira patent.
