not to mention the free maintenance (oil changes) u get from leasing, free loaner cars, leasing is just always better, especially for luxury brands, and ppl who say otherwise just can't afford it

Since they switched every 2 years, i wonder if they ever had to pay for tires. And the piece of mind that there are no expensive repairs around the corner (not saying Mercedes is any more expensive then BMW or other Luxury cars).

I appreciate this video. Everyone keeps saying to buy but what if you want a bmw or Mercedes and find there are high repairs so instead of buying you just lease, keep the warranty and trade every 2 years I feel that’s best with certain cars but with the Rx or Nx maybe buy and keep for a while

Your parents are very intelligent. I lease my 2021 E350 for 2 years and will continue every two years
@haroldsantos25263 жыл бұрын
Those numbers are unheard of in today’s market 🤣🤣🤣 they going for $750-$800+ a month and thats on a E350 base or with few options if you want a brand new 0 miles for instance

Good information. The assumption is very important in this formula which is that the person wants to swap cars every 3 years or so. Keeping the car longer with a lease would not be ideal.

they swap every 2 years in the video, actually

I'm all for leasing but this video has a major flaw. You've glossed over the fact that after 8 years you still have 12.5k of equity in the fact that you have a used car to sell vs. Not having any equity in the end of the lease terms. What would be important to mention would be the average cost of maintenance and repair costs that an average Eclass incurrs over an 8 year life span (4 years oit of warranty at that point) to see how it would eat into that 12.5k equity. Thank you for the video.
@abdellashukur82903 жыл бұрын
True. He did mention the opportunity cost of not investing 54k from the purchase of the car. I’m assuming he figures the capital gains returns would exceed 12.5k of equity left in the car.
@KEVIN88GT3 жыл бұрын
@@abdellashukur8290 can you clarify on the capital gains part?
@abdellashukur82903 жыл бұрын
@@KEVIN88GT Sure. So instead of putting the money into the car, he could invest that money into the stock market. The capital gains would be how much his stocks have increased over the 8 year period.

The benefits are negligible over the 8 years BUT, at the end of the 8 years...you still have a car if you bought vs. lease. With the lease, you have to stay in that rat race to get a new vehicle or BUY a car which would put your new lease price at at least double on the running tab. The initial car price will stay the same after it's paid for. This model only works if you plan on paying for a car forever, you have to have a NEW car and you are always upgrading (and never want to customize your car).

Bro do you know how expensive it is to maintain a 10 year old Mercedes? He got some insane deals but he didn’t include maintenance and repairs on the 8 year old one it wouldn’t have even been close if he had. Might as well keep the game going if running in that class of car.

Hello, i would like to lease a Mercedes, is it better to find a car that is a couple years old that has been sitting on the lot/ depreciated or lease a brand new Mercedes. Also is maintenance included or is that an additional fee? Thanks in advance

To my understanding you can’t lease a used car it must be brand new

Today is hard, Chips shortage car shortage. every car is $10k more, even used car $8k more than usual, only customer have advantage are lease customer, say a 3 years old Accord sport residual $!5k but the car worth 22k today, the lease customer has $7k equity, instead of turn it in you trade in, $7k down, your new car payments Still $350. be careful the sales person would lie to you your car only worth $19k trying to steal $3k from you so how use know how much your car worth, go to Carmax and carvana get a buy quote. you can't sell the car to them but you can use the value to negotiate. remember these; Every auto salesman is a liar, every manager is a manipulator, and every finance manager is a criminal.

I once leased an Infiniti and imo leasing keeps you in car payment . I bought a 2014 BMW and paid it off 2 years ago and I’m enjoying no car payment and it still looks new, it doesn’t have some of the new techs but that’s ok it drives gr8 . I will 4ever buy BMW they drive AWSOME . But yo each his own . Haven’t had any major issue so I bought car SHEILD warranty pay 159 per month just in case , so imma ride this out for a little bit more 🤣🤣

LMAO while this was ideal and made sense when this video was made, those discounts aren’t given as often on lease deals. Now to lease a benz e class would be roughly around 19k-23k making it very expensive and this pointless
