What length leash would you recommend for a 11’6" touring board on flat water?
@SUPboardermag

A 10ft ankle leash would be suitable for your needs. If you are paddling in moving water or overgrown rivers, consider a quick release waist belt or quick release leash. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

@@SUPboardermag Great stuff thanks Beau. I'll look for a 10ft Coiled leash. Would a quick release waist belt or quick release leash be a good option that would cover all water conditions from Rivers, Estuaries to Coastal Waters?

Yes, we would highly recommend a quick release waist belt or leash for most paddling types. You can easily hook your current coiled leash onto a waist leash.

Hi, I think it would be very Very good if you got your hands on the Soul Waterman sup leash, there is a shop in Carmarthen that stocks these, or contact standup Paddleboarduk in Snowdonia 👍

Is 10ft coiled leash okay for a 14ft race board?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is. It is hard to get leashes longer than 10ft. Thanks, Beau

I use a coil leash surfing
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 4 жыл бұрын
You can use it but after a while it wont be as coiled as it was. And it will creates more drag pulling through the water and obviously have more recoil when the board comes back to you.

@@SUPboardermag agreed I wouldn't use on a long board that's for sure but a short board it's not as dangerous with the coil back 👍

Should I get straight or coiled leach I don't the board hitting me?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 2 жыл бұрын
If you're paddling in flat water go for a longer coiled leash as its hard for the board to hit you when you fall. If you are in waves, then a straight leash is the beast choice. But you can use also a straight leash on flat water if you desire. Hope this helps. Beau
