Wow! You were so thorough in this video. Very helpful! I bought the 2.55 in the 255 size over the classic flap because of the option to crossbody it. I have no regrets. I completely agree with you about the mini flap...it’s so easy to carry and holds just enough.

The medium/large ist my absolute favourite size! It fits exactly what I need to carry. The minis are too small. I am only 5.2 so for me the chain length is just perfect. I can even crossbody it. It sits higher but is just about ok. The mini's strap is too long for me. So everyone can her perfect bag at chanel.

Fabulous video. After watching countless KZbin videos (including all of yours) on all the Chanel bags I recently bought the Mini Reissue and Reissue 225. Love the 225 so much (especially the rare metallic navy blue colour), however I do find the mademoiselle lock fiddly for everyday use and the double flap takes up too much space and adds to the fiddliness. Will never get rid of it though, it’s such a timeless elegant piece and every time I look at on the shelf it makes my heart sing 💓 however my quest continues to find that ‘perfect’ Chanel bag 🧐

Timely topic for me. I have two medium classic flaps, but rarely use them. I have other styles I use more, such as mini rectangular, mini cch, medium Business Affinity and medium Boy. I still adore the medium flap, I just don’t reach for them that often.

The M/L CF are my least used as well. So I only have them in bold colours that I use only occasionally (emerald green, cobalt blue and white). I have a jumbo in red but lambskin makes it wearable. Had a caviar jumbo but it was too darn heavy so I sold it. My workhorse bags are 225 & 226 and also the 19 bag. Light, understated, durable with perfect chain lengths. BTW love your mini! I sold my mini CF because I found the size awkwardly bulky for a small bag 😄

Thanks for comment and I totally agree that that bag is not useful for me so I think the route you took to get a more bold color makes sense! I enjoy the reissues also so much more! I've kind of given up on my jumbo as I find it heavy plus the lambskin has given it so many scratches I don't even know if I can sell it without a deep loss one day! I didn't get the 19 but I do still love my mini although I use it more for travelling. Happy New Year!

@@ClaraZeela I totally get the lambskin dilemma. It’s so gorgeous and lightweight but so delicate. I had a 227 lambskin but sold it after only a year and very few uses as I was getting so paranoid about scratching it. However the lambskin of my red jumbo is surprisingly tough - it’s pretty similar to Cambon calfskin actually and so I was pleasantly surprised. It’s dark red with gunmetal hw.. can’t remember which season it’s from. It’s really a wonder why Chanel won’t go down the smooth calfskin route re CF.. or have they? 🤷‍♀️

Great video! I don’t use any of my Chanel classic flaps very often. I totally agree about the length of strap - too short doubled up, and too short for crossbody. Jamel Sydney Hi James yes it could possibly be better however the doubled up chain drop is still quite short however if your build is lean it may work better for you. Suggest to try it at a boutique if possible. Indeed the CC lock is easier to get in and out of.

Yes I totally understand!!! I would be in the same boat if I had not purchased mine earlier. I would still like a mini square in caviar but I doubt they will release one again anytime soon. Current prices may also not justify it…we’ll see. Good luck in your search!

Thanks for your comment! I personally find the 227 too big for my lifestyle and frame but I would try it at the shop if you are interested! Something to bear in mind is that the leather is a bit softer so if you put too much in the 227 it could tentatively cause strain on the bag.

Yes these lux bags aren’t meant to be stuffed. I carry a separate canvas tote on days I need to carry bulky or heavy items. It’s good for weight distribution and won’t strain your beautiful bag !! Have a great day !!

In thinking of getting a mini and whenever I ask people who have both a mini or other classic, they always say to go with the mini flap because they use that more. How do you find the patent? Do you prefer mini rectangular or square? Both are so cute?

Stacy B patent is a bit high maintenance as it can easily absorb other colors so I would only recommend black for patent. I personally prefer the rectangle more as the phone fits easier but the strap drop is longer so it depends on your height and whether you intend to crossbody your bag. Tks for watching !!

Stella Ng yes but it should be marginal and I also don’t recommend stuffing your bags to the brim as they are not designed to be overly stuffed or could lose their shape. Hope it helps
