I'm with you, I can watch sewing videos all day long if life would leave me alone and let me do what I wanted to 😉. While I'm dreaming, I might as well wish for stress free sewing while watching, no empty bobbins, and never have an unthreaded needle 😎

Okay, I’ve got to know. What is the secret to figuring out how much extra you need to make the leather match your seem allowance in a fold over? I know a portion of the measurement is definitely based on the thickness of the leather and the material it’s folding over. What else is needed to be known and how do you figure it out?

I don’t have the same sewing machine as you do. I do have a cylinder arm, though. The way you make the bottom doesn’t look like a possibility to me. Any ideas how I could pull that off?
@MythLeatherCo2 жыл бұрын
You’ll see in an upcoming episode how we do that. However, we’re planning on releasing a pattern that everyone can make with more standardized equipment. 👍

I recognize the orphan cutter … when Garth was changing the blade it looked like a different brand…. almost like it was magnetized !!!

@@fayeehlis854 the blades are an off brand from Amazon. They’re coated with a light oil which makes them stuck together a bit. 👍

Why not cut out the leather with the Cricut?
@MythLeatherCo2 жыл бұрын
We do for small intricate pieces, but it messes up the mat pretty quickly.
@shelbybrackett38602 жыл бұрын
Depends on the pattern piece, really. Sometimes the Cricut set up just takes too long, other times the pattern piece is too big for the Cricut mat, or sometimes we already have a clicker die for it. It says it will cut leather, but it rarely cuts all the way through.
