So many people talking about using knifes to score new leather soles and other destructive things! Took me 3 minutes out on the driveway to "scuff" up the soles of my new shoes. So, very good advise!!

Almost fell the other day. But the sound of a leather sole is pure satisfaction. Rubber soles don't even come close.

@@bridlenshoemaker Also, Saphir makes a leather sole conditioner that is supposed to help prolong the leather sole life in wet conditions.

I realize a good part of your market is young men who have never worn "smart" shoes before, but us old farts who have watched the quality of old brands slip would love to try yours out. And, the binary "rubber sole versus leather soul" is just not in line with so many designs that incorporate strategic rubber on the leather, or attach a rubber half sole. All rubber soles will never match a quality leather sole, but you do give up traction. I've slipped and slid in wet and icy conditions far too many times to care to bother wit plain leather anymore, and spending an extra wad of cash to have a leather half sole added is very annoying (but what I have done in the past).

The traction you get on a rubber sole depends on so many other variables too like the compound of rubber, the mould design etc. We do offer a leather sole with an injected rubber on the forepart which i think will be to your liking and preference.
