Wow! The third wrap that you showed is exactly the kind of handle wrap that I was looking for my longbow. Man, this is not the first time that you give me inspiration.👍

You are not ready for your knot tying test for the Navy. I spent weeks doing all that on in many handrails aboard my ship while in the Navy. there are so many more. Awesome as always.

The spiraling one is call French whipping..makes great coverage on sword handles or with rope on walking staves or staffs. The second has the added benefit of being able to quickly untied get the cordage back. Great video!

For decorative wraps you can add beads to any cord by feeding a bite through the bead hole then push the working end through the bite. It locks the bead in place and you can do it at any point. Great video!

I really wish I could see a video of this... did you mean to use the word 'bite'? Or did you you mean feed a BIT? The bead hole would have to be big enough for whatever cord you were wrapping, no?

The first wrap is what we in the Navy called "Fancy Work" wraps. It's used on solid horizontal railings and upright stantions to give grip during inclimate weather. A couple years ago. I made a flail using a 2"x12" rod, wrapped with fancy work. Attached to it was a "sennent knot chain also known as a "Lanyard" with a "Monkeys Fist" at the end. Got a pretty penny for it.

Going to try these with wire work to see how they apply. Should be pretty good though perhaps not quite as tight looking. Also, that first one looks like you could do it without looping the material by just feeding the working end under itself as you go around, but depending on what you are applying it to/the length of the cord, it works either way, so whatever suits your needs. I want to use them for a bow grip or perhaps a knife grip. Experimentation is now in my near future

These are all paracord handle wraps. The first one is called French Whipping. The second one is a lock knot or weave and is used to have a hank of cordage available that is easily released by pulling on one side and unravelling it. There are hundreds of types of handle wraps from the extremely simple and basic to the more complex and involved. The easiest wrap is to simply whip the entire handle which leaves a flat wrap.
