I like the challenge of making things. I have made 3 or 4 clicker dies for bags and a wallet.

I made a few of my own clicker dies in the past. As you say, special tools are needed. I have the hard ones made now. Nice video.

Hello Harry, a good informative video, did you get that Weaver press sent over from the US?, and how much was the shipping. Thanks
@harryrogers5 жыл бұрын
Yes but use Logis des Cordes in France and shipping is then only about £100!

Is the knife you use available or could you suggest an "affordable" version? That's the thing that quality tools are so important the price point is so variable with knives. I like my Osbourne brand tools which are an American brand, They make a knife that looks similar to yours. Any advice? Is it worth spending the money on a more expensive knife.I will look through your videos . I am sure you covered this...I wish I had space and money for a press it seems like it really streamlines your process and keeps every component consistent...Of course you make your own clickers! You are so amazing and talented!

Hi the knife I use most is a simple Dafa circular cutter which is very reasonable...the Osborne tools are great quality. Best regards Harry

Wonderful video! I thought, though, that you'd kind of stopped making them - It's been a while since I've seen one of your videos. I decided to check, and sure enough, there's been a dozen or so of your more recent video's that KZbin hadn't decided to show me! One would think that if a person "subscribes" to a channel, that they'd be allowed to see those videos on the "subscription" page.... but I guess not. So - I've got the notification bell clicked, hopefully I get to watch more of your videos moving forward! (sorry, a little "i'm frustrated with youtube" rant)

Thanks Jared...it's good you hit the bell..does seem a bit random!

I have always liked the look of the weaver press. However, it is expensive and I assume shipping to the UK would be astronomical (but haven't actually looked). I have thought of buying an old cast iron book press, solid built with a large surface area, unlike the hydraulic or arbor press, but I have never heard of anyone using one, so don't know if the pressure would be enough. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
@harryrogers5 жыл бұрын
Thomas - to get one into the UK go via Logis De Cordes in France...it will save you a fortune on shipping.

Hi Bobby, I do like the Weaver tools, super quality. I have the 4 ton but as you say they do a very good big one as well. I also have their Heritage skiver. Not much Weaver kit in the UK sadly, as no stockist as far as I am aware.

I am wondering, i have tried all sorst of combinations of words like "steel rule die clicker custom shape cutter europe" kinda thing but literally no europe situated manufacturers popped up. I might have messed with google since I was 4 months overseas and with location tracker thing it might be the case that he is looking for results still in US. could you point me out to some good manufacturers in europe?
@harryrogers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan...if it's supplies you are after then Partwell Group in the UK have tools and supplies. If you are after a clicker press by Weaver then Logis des Cordes in France can import them from the US and then ship to the UK.

@@harryrogers I was more into finished dies and where to order them based on my digital files. You have no idea how much I would love to fidget with self made dies but only company that I found on online that was offering suitable bending jig was hungary company that was asking for my company credentials which amused me greatly :D also I have checked all second hand places online and for now I either do not know how to translate what I am looking for to my mothers tongue (since there were lots of pipe bending jigs offered) or nobody is offering such thing (or I am looking wrong places)

@@ctx4241 Perhaps try Yellow Pages...especially for the Walsall area...or put the following into EBay UK and a firm comes up: Clicker Press BESPOKE ACRYLIC Cutters Tools Dies Knives for ATOM SAMCO HAWKES

Harry, I was negative about how to make clicker dies at home and I apologise. A simple 3.5 " square clicker die would cost me $67.49 to buy.

Hi John I think your view is sound! It's expensive to make a few on the DIY route, and in retrospect I think commercial dies are a good option if you want only a few! Rgds Harry
