Yo I judge wanna say the premium cleaner for the software actually took the stains and dirt off my chair. I don’t recommend using washing detergent lol as that’s how my stains formed. The cleaner is also anti static :). You only need a little of the product as well so the bottle ends up being a lot.

My pu black 2022 is going to show up today, I been using a bar stool to sit on for about 5 years. My main reason was color over fabric, I wanted the chair blacked out, and that’s the only chair that is all blacked out, oddly the stealth does not look so stealth to me, but the black one does. Anyway it’s going to be nice to a real chair and not a stool. Thanks for the video!

Hey thanks for watching, Benny! One of my chairs had the noise issue, which Secretlab resolved with the Barrier Kit. I received their barrier kit a while ago but I haven’t actually installed it yet because the noise hasn’t been that intrusive to me, but I’ll make a video of the installation if I do use it! Yup, it’s comfortable! I use this as my meditation and recline chair + the chair that I use for all console gaming :D

Hey man, great video. Just noticed you bought an Aeron as well. How would you say these chairs compare? Obviously the Secretlab is a lot cheaper but is it still a decent chair for the price?

Hey dude! Thank you for the subscribe and thank you for coming back! ^^ The Aeron versus the Secretlab - there are a couple of differences that I’d talk about, such as the fact that Aeron is a chair that I overall prefer to the Secretlab chairs, and what I can see is a bigger array of ergonomic adjustments that I’ll talk about in another video. That said, Secretlab is truly wonderful for the price and is definitely worth a buy - please feel free to use my affiliate link if you’d like to help the channel at no additional cost to yourself! There are a couple use cases where Secretlab excels the Aeron such as sitting cross legged (difficult to do this with Aeron without feeling discomfort because of plastic edges), and angle of recline (lower with Aeron) - I actually slept in a Secretlab Titan one night just to see if it was possible), and there is no headrest support for the Aeron unless you buy something proprietary (though I would argue that that solution is superior to the lower cost pillow solution that Secretlab has in place). Lumbar support on the 2022 can also be adjusted, but if I’m to be perfectly frank I do have to say that there are times when I can’t feel it + it’s not flexible, though this is just the nature of the fact that SL creates high back chairs. :) Much more to say about this that I can’t really capture in all these words, but I hope this is helpful so far!

I think the leather cleaner is great and i’d recommend it over using water because it’s just a smoother finish and it also maintains the covering better than if you’d just use water! @@LioStyx It’s a great chair! I actually experienced both the Softweave 2020 and 2022, and I can definitely feel a significant difference between the 2020 and 2022! More comfortable for sure, but it’s in the little details - 2020 isn’t UNcomfortable, but 2022 is even better if that makes sense!

Do you feel the lumbar if you have it adjusted flat? I ordered a DxRacer Master Series and its lumbar felt like a block in the back rest with it adjusted flat. So it was packed back up thinking about ordering this chair now...

You don’t feel the lumbar, nope! It’s a soft and raised hump when it is extended but when it’s flat the back of the chair is essentially just completely flat :)

Oh I’m so sorry for missing this! Hmm I like both! They are different though - I find Aeron to be slightly better for working (not necessarily extra 1000USD more worth it) overall, but tend to use my secretlab chairs for relaxing :)

It’s a 4D lumbar support! Left knob controls how high the lumbar support goes, and right knob controls how deep so you can use them in combination to match your height and spinal curvature!

If u have a Budget SecretLab gaming Chair go for Leather.. If u have lowbudget gaming chair go for softweave fabric..

The softweave will probably last longer if you get a darker color because at the very least, it won't stain and also it won't peel. The only issue is that the things that do stain will stay on the chair, so you do have to be pretty assiduous at cleaning it up, which is quite different from what happens with the leather, where you can just use some wipes and wipe off anything, though of course the leather will peel!

Will the Leatherette be okay for room temp around 35-40 C? cuz in summer where I live, the room temp is around that much. I am worry that it would tear the leather off. Any advice on that? I'm really appreciate it cuz im gonna buy one and can't decide which.

I would recommend getting the Softweave if you’re worried about being warm! The leatherette is pretty easy to clean though, and based on my experience with it it probably won’t melt your skin contrary to the way people seem to describe it sometimes xD Enjoy your chair!! @@vernkora3279 To be perfectly honest, it may - but nobody has owned the chair long enough to document any peeling experiences yet as far as I can see! This generation’s leatherette, I’ve heard, is much more durable compared to the previous one - I’ve not had peeling problems with my 2020 either (I also live in a hot climate - 35-40 Celsius, 2020 is not in a constantly air conditioned environment) and that’s still fine, but take it with a grain of salt! Hey SarangKpop! I don’t have any experiences just yet, but that used to be something I was actually terribly afraid of when I was living in the US because it was quite dry - in the Chicago winter, you’d actually see me walking around with a key in my hand before touching any metal surface because I was actually paranoid of getting shocked by doors; I don’t have direct experience of this as I now live in Malaysia where it is more humid, but if you check out SL’s recent Softweave wipes, there’s a mention of how these are used to prevent static buildup so I’d say that that’s probably an issue if you live in a dry place - haven’t personally experienced it yet though!

And have you heard of Sihoo M57 chair? I'm still considering between Sihoo M57 which cost around 290 sgd or secret lab 2022 softweave(the problems I read gave me second thoughts for SL).

@@MrSarangKpop7 I would say that following the advice of this page: www.condair.com/humidifiernews/blog-overview/why-does-low-humidity-cause-static-electricity …I had a look at the humidity meter in my room and noted that it reads 56 percent right now and it goes to a low of say, 36 percent if I leave the AC on for two days straight. Based on the fact that the criterion for a static shock to take place is 40 percent humidity and below, I’d say that it’s unlikely that you’ll experience static shocks in our region unless you full blast air conditioning constantly albeit that’s assuming that my experience is representative of the Southeast Asia experience with these chairs in an air conditioned environment in general. For your case, you can buy a cheap humidity detector on say Shopee, then check it to see if the humidity goes below 40 percent in your room at any point. I haven’t tried the softweave cleaner yet - thank you for the reminder! I’ll try to get those sometime soon, but Softweave cleaner has been out of stock for a while - looking forward to trying those out!

@@VictorTan still comfortable after about a year, the armrest looks disgusting though, not really sweat/water proof. Just getting even clean water on it causes a weird smear to build up and stay there, which just gets worse when you try to remove it lol. Other than that it's better than the wooden chair I used to use! Hope everything's fine with you and stay safe!

Hey Declan! I’ve not! I’ve tried pretty similar chairs but not the air mesh :) Hopefully at some point in the future when I can grow my channel + invest in every single chair out there though! What I can say though is that from watching videos on KZbin and generally having a deep understanding of chairs, the hard plastic edges are likely going to eat into your sides though the seat may generally be comfortable, and it’ll definitely be more breathable through gaming sessions, though if you get the softweave it’s going to be relatively more breathable than Leatherette (though less than the Air) and in general be a more solid chair by feeling and also have depth adjustable lumbar support, which the DXRacer doesn’t seem to have (though it is height adjustable) That said, I do think that if you are looking for a more comprehensive opinion that you should consider some other reviews as well, though if you’d like to support my small channel, do consider using my link to purchase if you eventually decide on the Titan :D Thanks so much and have a great one ahead!

The seat Is a bit firm for an 8 hour day if that's what you're asking. After a few hours of gaming on that chair My butt starts to hurt a little. I think you should look elsewhere if you need to sit in it for 8 hours straight

I just received a Secretlab Titan EVON Titan Leatherette in Black. The box was well padded, instructions were very clear, but what these reviews don’t mention is the formaldehyde like smell from the chair materials. I’m currently airing it out and hopefully the strong nauseating smell will disappear. Overall, the materials are sturdy, good framing, but the lumbar support looks lame. I’ll have to try it out for at least a week or two to determine if it justifies the $580 price tag. Good luck

Haha oh dear! Yes, there is some smell, probably because of some process that they put the chair through - for what it’s worth, it was mostly gone after the first week in which I used it so no issues on that part 💪 Lumbar’s cool if you need to adjust it once in a while though it’s pretty subtle - enjoy your chair!

Why doesn't anyone talk about the napa (real) leather version? I'm trying to decide between it and the fake leather version. I'm wondering if the real leather version would last longer. I think it probably would.

Secretlabs makes Softweave skins you could put on your chair. If you don't like the pu leather and don't feel like returning the whole chair, you can just buy a skin for it. If you bought the Softweave and don't like it, you have to go through the hassle of returning the chair. Assuming you like the fit and feel of the chair design itself, I think its best to buy the Pu leather and a skin. My hardest decision was if I should get the regular or the xl.

That's a real possibility! You do have to balance the cleanability of the chair against the breathability to some degree when it comes to PU Leather vs Leatherette, but then Napa leather is a whole new ballgame - real leather doesn't peel and it does offer the best of all worlds in the sense of being cleanable but also stylish (albeit it only comes in black), though it's also more than twice the price D:

Yea price increase has hit hard because of the increase in the cost of materials! Secretlab publicly declared this in October last year, but if I’m not wrong though, the chair has always been more expensive in Australia. I don’t claim to know why that’s the case though, sorry!

It’s actually not available in Malaysia and so I hadn’t encountered it, but I’ll write an additional descriptor about that in the video description :) For now, what I can say is that real leather doesn’t peel and that the thing is only currently available in black, and that’s pretty much it!
