Multitools are the light sabres of our time, so it’s only fitting that Darth Vader does these reviews... I prefer the Skeletool by the way. Not only because of the functionality of the bits, especially when carrying even just one slide of the Bit Kit. I used to work behind the bar and when you remove the spring, that carabiner is a very fast and reliable bottle opener. But even from a pure design stand point, I prefer the look of that ‘hook’ at the end of the Skeletool. The Freestyle doesn’t look multitool to me, more simply ‘pocket knife’. Nice, but maybe a bit too nice, too smooth.

Note this regarding the weight: - Freestyle: 130 grams, - Skeletool CX: 140 grams (+ 20 mm longer/ carabiner part, bit driver, two bits).

The Leatherman Freestyle CX is nowhere to be found except on eBay but on occasion. The Leatherman models of multifunction knife with bit holder have all been removed, I can not find on eBay but I found this one on amazon: www.amazon.fr/Leatherman-L861411-Expanse-E55B/dp/B001ELZ2Y8/ref=sr_1_94?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1547922626&sr=1-94&keywords=leatherman+couteau . Obviously, the Skeletool, which has pliers in addition, made these knives unattractive, but why did Leatherman keep only a few of these knives in his catalog but without an adapter ?

I just bought a Leatherman Expanse E55BX, a retired model, 154CM semi-serrated knife, retractable carabiner /bottle opener, bit holder with bit and another bit integrated in the handle. Failing to find a model of the H or K series that have, in addition, a can opener. At this time, Leatherman made his victorinox declining his knives in 37 models (today all retired) ! :) There are only six of the same type left in its current catalog, none of which have a bit holder, can opener or retractable carabiner (linear slide).

Крайне своеобразный тул для эстетов) Пытался носить его как edc, но он не прижился. Лично мне в нем катастрофически не хватало отвёртки. Был бы в нем битодержатель - был бы идеальным минималистичным тулом (и главным конкурентом скелетула, что видимо не очень выгодно). А так, для коллекции самое то ;)
