I've owned these for a few years now, except this is the model with part serrated blade, mine is not serrated at all, it's still razor sharp, very well made. My one issue is with the belt clip, it sometimes rotates to a point where it's loose, and the securing screw is not a standard one, so tightening it is a case of hooking out my specialist screwdriver, or getting it a touch tighter by rotatiing it clockwise. I prefer using a lanyard (the coiled kevlar type) attached via the carabiner clip on the Skeletool. The Skeletool is most definitely *not* street legal in the UK, the blade locks and is deployable with one hand, so I only carry it when I'm camping or going for a long walk in the countryside. On the whole, it's a beautiful and useful piece of kit!

Thanks for sharing. When I lost my Skeletool I replaced it with a Freestyle. I thought the screwdrivers were the weakest link. Great review!

I'll throw my hands up.. I made a mistake on this review. This is not a CX, it is the standard Skeletool. Very sorry.

What makes it a CX?

The CX version has a few differences. First the blade on the CX is straight with no serations , the blade steel is 154CM and it has a tiny strip of carbon fiber for looks. Also the tool is two tone black and bead blast. Price is $54 US dollars for CX and about 40 for the polished stainless.
