I have just discovered Lauren through American Idol, but WOW!! what a discovery. She is so many artists wrapped into one. She has some Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and a hint of Joan Baez. Others also. That is what makes her so good. Her voice is heavenly. The lyrics that she writes are like the gospel of life. She can tell a life's story, in a single stroke of a pen. Look out music world. She will be making music history. Forget the next Carrie Underwood. She is Lauren Mascitti. The heir to the throne of country music.

I find it strange how music has changed so much over the years, as well as people’s appreciation for it. The fact you have been under the national radar is shocking. I once was offered recording contracts but walked away because of my own insecurities as well as the fact that songwriting can become a form of insanity at times...wake up in the middle of the night with an idea and then can’t sleep trying to put it all together. It had the highest highs and the lowest lows. I wasn’t a fan of American Idol. Then I heard artists like Jeremiah Harmon, Laci Booth, and now you. I’m grateful for the show now. Your voice is pure emotion. Other singers might hit every note on the scale, but the notes you hit are home runs. Every time. There are very few singers alive who can sound like that, and even less that can command such a presence while performing. You have an incredible gift, and you are using it and taking risks. I ultimately quit music because I couldn’t hit the notes to my songs with consistency. When I was in the zone, it was good. When I wasn’t feeling it, it was flat and rubbish. That’s why your voice is so remarkable and special. You obviously have a lot of emotion and empathy in your internal bank to sound the way you do. You have one of the most amazing voices I’ve ever heard, and I hope you never stop investing in this, because it would rob the rest of us. Thank you for sharing your soul via music. You are an incredible artist, and it’s even better that you fell for a prolific song writer who can help you and support your journey. Song writing can be a lonely thing, and you have an ally in this journey who understands.
