The hilarious part of Jump Up, Superstar is that it's supposed to be a celebratory song for Mario's long successful career. I'd compare it to the remix of a game's main song that only plays when you get the super special secret final boss. By overplaying it everywhere - especially the lyrical version, as lyrical songs are very rare in videogames and supposed to signify a song is playing in a very special part - it becomes very much a generic teen Disney song as you described it.

You know how a lot of the lines in puyo puyo tetris 2 are reused takes from the first game, like spells 3 to 7? Well, for Ecolo, it's no different, with some takes being new and some being reused. For some reason though, for his alt voice (which is just his regular voice but in reverse) they actually recorded entirely new takes for every voice line, even though they literally could have just reversed the takes that they already had for his regular voice. I hope I explained that okay, because I feel the need to share obscure facts about the things I am obsessed with, but sometimes I am bad at explaining.

In Caligula Effect 2, there is a song called SINGI. It plays when you're relaxing in some of the town areas and when fighting Regret. It also plays during a special postgame dungeon called Prometheus Tower. All 100 floors of it. And in the Caligula Effect series, songs don't stop playing when you're fighting. Instead, songs are instrumental in the overworld, and have lyrics when fighting enemies. That means you'll be listening to SINGI non-stop in Prometheus Tower, where it doesn't fit, potentially for several hours straight (the tower is also the only dungeon with no save points despite being the longest by far). Speaking of Prometheus Tower, if your party gets wiped, you have to start from the bottom floor, meaning you'll have to hear SINGI even longer if you were aiming to clear floor 100. Oh, and none of the boss floors have the special boss version of SINGI, just in case the player was hoping for a change of pace. If it weren't for the fact that unlike the boss rematches it has no story reward, therefore not enforcing players to complete it, it would've dragged down my favourite game I played in 2021 a lot.

your feelings for jump up superstar is the same for me with the splatoon soundtrack with the short length for them, the multiplayer mode mostly having 1 genre as 90% of the songs, and the lack of songs, it all blends together doesn't help that they really want you to like calamari inkantation despite just being okay, the game describes it as heavenly and uses it for splatoon 1 & 2's final boss, and the OE superboss

On the topic of Jump Up Super Star: While I see how you could not like it/be annoyed by it, I think you are exaggerating a little bit on how overplayed it is. In many of your examples the song can be avoided, such as turning it off in Smash. And to me at least, it didn't feel overplayed at all within Odyssey. I do agree that the song is getting too pushed, but in hindsight it was somewhat expected as it was the main theme of one of Nintendo's biggest games in recent years. At least its not like the trailer music for Pokemon Sun Moon, where they created a badass unique remix of the Alola theme that never got used elsewhere, and it has sound effects dampering the listening experience! And on the topic of overplayed and overrated songs, there are faaaaaaaaar greater offenders such as certain music from indie games that gets labeled as the best thing ever for no discernible reason...

I gotta add to the Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 part, with all the voices in it. I love this series, and I love the character's voices in the series (with some exceptions), but I can admit, they can sometimes get, pretty annoying when playing. That's cause of how anytime they get a successful pop, they will say something, and if you get only 1-2 pops per chain, you'll often hear the same thing over and over again. And having to hear "Awaken!", "Heed!", "Woah hooo!", "I can see it", etc., can get too much over time. Like *way* too much. A lot of the characters have good voices outside, and inside the game modes, like Ringo, Sig, Arle, Tee, and many others. Then there are the ones that are just, annoying, lol. Also this is just me, but Lemres' alt is just, wayyy too funny, lol. Ben Diskin (Lemres and Sig's voice actor) did a good job with his characters and their alts. Especially Sig's alt voice, which turns the soft spoken boy that keeps to himself to the host of The Price Is Right. That's just funny man, lol

Yeah, it's probably worse, actually. It's shoved in literally everywhere possible in the game. When it was used during the the first trailer, playing in the background as every character was revealed one after another, it was truly epic, far more so than Jump Up, Super Star ever was. But then they had the bright idea of making every new song in the game a variation of the theme in some way , which got tiring fast. I think the only other version I liked was the one used during the true final battle of World of Light. But imagine how incredible it would been if that was the first time the theme had been used since the original trailer?
