The one thing I like about the stay in Beacontown ending is that Petra obviously doesn't hold it against you. I mean, she's your friend so why should she? But I mean the fact that she's a little disheartened to see you stay, but she's fine with going on her own. After all, who better to find herself than, well... herself? So she understands the need to stay and is like "aight, until next time!"

​@@ahiptothehop4077i disagree. every friend group that fell apart in mcsm wasnt because of distance, it was because of unresolved inner conflict. jesse's group has been separated mant times throughout the story, but they're still friends at the end of the day bc they care about each other even if they start to have their own responsibilities. i dont think the game is trying to say that staying in beacontown is necessarily abandoning petra. besides, wouldnt that logic mean following petra means you abandon lukas and radar?

Him leaving with Petra is by far the better ending and it makes more sense. She is basically the secondary protagonist in the story after all. Plus it just seems to fit better in general especially considering their relationship and the talk they had.

I personally rather prefer the choice where Jesse stays in Beacontown. After all, he was part of the cause of all its troubles. It's only fair that as a good and responsible leader he should stay and help fix the results of his mess rather than literally running away from it. Besides, he still has Lukas, Axel and Olivia (they will most likely stop by in season 3...if it's ever made...) Radar, Jack, Nurm, Lluna (if you choose to take care of her), and everyone else in Beacontown to be with him. Just because Petra will be gone doesn't mean Jesse will be alone. But regardless of what ending is chosen, it still a double meaning. If a season 3 will officially never be made, we can rest knowing that 1) Jesse and Petra will be off adventuring together just like before, or 2) that Jesse will be overseeing the recovery and further development of Beacontown. If a Season 3 is ever made, we have the perfect beginning for a new story: An older Jesse and friends that have settled into their lifestyles (either adventurers or town leader[s]). Personally I would love to see a story about Jesse taking care of his town as he, his friends, and everyone else grows older, and before the inevitable last threat comes.

I don't see it that way, I mean, since the beginning of the second season it has been hinted that Jesse also misses the adventures, that being the head of lighthouse city at the end of the day was still a task that had a lot of weight, I feel that the ending with Petra puts a damper on Jesse's time as leader of Faro city, knowing that he has friends that he can leave in charge, the disaster caused was not his responsibility and I feel that leaving Radar in charge as leader (if you choose him) I see it as a good closure, because leaving you delegating responsibility to someone who is still learning the responsibilities of being a hero seems to me like an open ending (if telltale hadn't gone bankrupt) for Radar, since It could be an action that makes him mature as a leader

Who agrees that choosing jesse to leave with petra is better than choosing jesse staying in beacontown I mean look how sad jesse and petra were until radar made it good and sad at the same time also rip Minecraft story mode 2015-2017 I was never really that big of a Minecraft poster and ran but I really enjoyed the games both season 1 and 2 playing season 1 episode one on my IPad and the rest on my Nintendo switch and season 2 episode 1 on my x box one s and the other 4 episodes also on my switch besides that Minecraft story mode sure is so great, hilarious, sad and awesome game for both Minecraft fans and video games fan I just wish we could of gotten a third season though but I'll just be happy I enjoyed all 13 episodes of this great game

Wdym she’s just like Romeo 😂 Romeo killed Fred and imprisoned Xara. When did Petra ever kill or imprison her friends? Aw geez, cut her some slack! 5-7 years passed between Season 1 Episode 8 and Season 2 Episode 1. It was Jesse who always said “teamwork makes the dream work” and other stuff about friendship. If Petra was left alone in the mines for 5-7 years wondering where her friends are for that long, ofc she’s going to wonder if her friends even care about her anymore. And why does everyone forget the cabin scene exists? You know, the scene where she realises she’s been selfish and following in the footsteps of Romeo, and turns around? And how was she was pressuring Jesse into leaving with her? She didn’t force him to do anything, she gave him a choice - even if he promised her that he would always be by her side, she still gave him that choice. What did you want her to do, leave without anyone knowing and making Jesse upset again?

It would be really cool if Season 3 had two storylines. A entire storyline for if you left with Petra. and a entire storyline if you stayed in beacontown. TWO Storylines based on which one you wanted to do, stay in beacontown or leave with petra.
