At night, we headed to Utsukushigahara Highlands to watch the sunrise the next morning.
Despite the extreme cold, we were greeted with a sight so beautiful that we forgot about the cold.
And on the hill we climbed for more scenery...!

The last time I was in Nagano-Ken was 20yrs ago! My mom and I visited relatives there for a few days! Now I’m not sure if they are still there or if they had moved on to another city or country!! Also I remember there was an onsen somewhere in town and a supermarket that sold Spam! Lol

For deer, try flashing the lights on and off, they tend to get glued to the lights and flashing the causes them to usually run away. Hence the saying you look like your a deer in headlights 😅. Yes -6c is brrrrr 🌬️❄️⛄️ , you can now say you have done it and have it on video. Yes hot pot sounds good on a cold winter night. I think if you tied a strong cable to Yuri, she could have been like a kite out there. Looks really cold.

白樺湖のちょっと先で友人がペンションを経営していて長野、新潟方面に出張の時によく利用してました。スーツのズボンにワイシャツ姿で車のエンジンを温めながら車の雪をどけてペンションの入り口にある温度計を見たら・・・氷点下15℃！友人に話したら「普通だよ」の一言。そんな外にワイシャツ1枚でよく出たな、と今ではとてもじゃないが出来ませんね。
