Leaving All to Follow Jesus │ Mark

When we follow Jesus, He doesn’t give us an itinerary. It’s like when He called James and John from their father’s fishing boat: “Follow Me.” No explanation. But those two young men left their father, his boat, and the hired men, and they followed the Lord. When we yield ourselves to His will, even though we don’t know the path ahead, Jesus gives us joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Some of those who won't understand may even be in our own families. However, we are called to follow, knowing that others we love might not be willing to face the cost of that discipleship.

That’s a really good question… but I know this the Holy Spirit can. His ways are perfect. I was a dead man walking when He had me grab a Bible from home walk through the hospital my wife was dying in passed her room sat at the end of the hallway and got saved as He walked me through the scriptures. He did it all!🕊

I was further thinking about your question. From reading this, it seemed they may have heard of Jesus. Vs. 14 says, "Jesus came into Galilee, (full of The Holy Spirit) preaching...The Kingdom of God." So, people Do talk about the latest thing. He invited them and in Vs. 18, they 'at once" join Him as His disciples, siding with His party. From other scriptures they seem to have been waiting for the opportunity or expect Him to setup a Revolution against their Roman suppression of their people. So, yes they had heard and most likely talked about this new guy who had come to deliver them. ❤

Good morning all. Faith truly pays, I just returned from Africa, no one could tell me what to expect but i know Jesus told me years ago 20+ yrs ago that I would go. I went sight unseen i followed not knowing what to expect it was the most rewarding experience I've ever had. I was totally out of my comfort zone, cold showers,long days, freezing in the morning sweating by noon. But the love, laughter and joy we shared with the people of Africa, letting them know Jesus wanted them, loved them and was there for them he became their savior. Jesus provides for where you are, I heard endless testimonies of how Jesus protected, provided, has been there for people and these people live in poverty materially speaking but they are the richest people in the world. Oh yes I learned a lot. Come follow me, yes Lord blindly I will follow you. Have a wonderful day all, much love and blessings ❤️💐
