God bless you! It was great and inspiring listening to you! You are called to be a minister of Christ to all people young and old, children and adults! Very smart to stay till the end of the Seminary!

Thankyou for your video. I met a guy that’s in seminary Trouble is we like each other too much. I mean a lot. He said that he might leave he thinks there is problems there. I can’t have any input in what he chooses or what god chooses. I fell for him I think he did too. He’s a different guy when he’s in there to when he’s away from it. I’m not religious enough he thinks which hurts me. I said I should move on with my life because he can’t make a decision and since then satan has definitely allowed himself to come in to my life. When I was attached to him only good was in my life. I don’t want anyone else but bad men keep turning up. I hope If he leaves he will come see me and we can try. Please any input from you would be greatly appreciated. Should I wait or am I wasting my life. God obviously will always come before me. Please I’d love to know your thoughts. Maybe you might know him lol he’s the sweetest guy ever. He made me have some kinda respect for myself. He came in to my life when I needed a priest or a priest to be lol. I needed to talk to a catholic priest and I go on a site and leave my number and he was out of seminary at that time. What are the chances. Then I started to think god bought us together and that I should follow god. I wasn’t up until then. I wasn’t even Catholic. Please help me if you can. Much love and many blessings Carly xxxx

Yes, global sexual abuse scandals don’t really help the recruitment drive.
@biblebelievingcatholic88033 жыл бұрын
It does not help, that would be correct.
@TyroneBeiron2 жыл бұрын
Sexual abuse is not exclusive to Catholic priestly life, and not all dioceses 'worldwide' have as bad a situation as might have been suggested. It's important to have an accurate perspective of the facts. Another thing is that anyone with a genuine vocation and a desire to discern it would not be affected by the 'scandals'. If they were, they may just not be suited for the tougher circumstances and challenges ahead in priestly life. I think seminarians should focus on their development with their spiritual director and not take it to the public arena which can lead to confusion and more.
@AndJusticeForMe2 жыл бұрын
@@TyroneBeiron Interesting defense, but the Catholic sexual abuse scandal goes all the way to the top, baby...the Vatican.
@TyroneBeiron2 жыл бұрын
@@AndJusticeForMe I think 'defense' is inaccurate. Some did clearly cover-up, others failed to comprehend the evil, and some applied compassion and mercy but this was not the best of situations to do so. And canon law then did not have the specificities for this sort of abuse. I am sure there has been sexual abuse throughout the ages - but the systematic or pathological paedophilia we have seen of late may have more to do with the formation of novices in some places. Scandals aren't new, and only attests to sinfulness and the need for grace. Yes, there is recent admission of clerical networks within the Vatican hierarchy that have promoted sympathy towards this sort of behaviour but without just men entering the priesthood, this sort of evil will not be rooted out. Looking back to scripture, God often depicts unfaithfulness within his covenantal people and their rulers in order to teach and discipline us. Many Catholics are hurt by these scandals, and not only the victims of the crimes, but everyone else who also trusted their diocesan hierarchies to have acted justly and wisely.
@AndJusticeForMe2 жыл бұрын
@@TyroneBeiron Well, god allowed these scandals and crimes to be perpetrated for centuries, so I’m sure he’s fine with it. No worries, all is well.

Im starting to regret taking Theology classes at St Francis University in Ohio at 40 yrs old . There making me take a catechism test that has nothing to do with basic Catholic Fundamentals. Even though they have catechism classes for that kind of testing. Then the accounts lady wants my SS # because the irs is asking for it . BS !!! I think the shortage of priesthood is more the university fault for making it harder then it has to be?

I left the seminary, not by choice. I was told to leave because I was "immature." Others at the college seminary who were allowed to continue their studies towards the priesthood later went on to make the news for various sexual crimes. A few left after they were ordained priests and wanted to get married. A few others were laicized. So much for discernment. After a long hard inside look at Catholic seminary training in the post-Vatican era, I've come to the conclusion that those who have figured out a way to handle the celibacy thing or are gay have a "vocation." A burning desire to serve God and or evangelize are not required. Heck you don't even need to know God or the Bible. I found God after I left the seminary. Wanting to work with youth and live as a Cistercian is a non-sequitur. Try the Salesians. Godspeed on your spiritual journey.

If Jesus were here now would He join the seminary? Of course not. The seminary is about theology and trivial rules and not about the revolutionary love of Jesus, or about tolerance or about forgiveness or about charity or about helping the poor.
@evetamer24328 ай бұрын
Why would Jesus join a seminary 😂 he wouldn’t need to learn how to be a priest because he was the first to offer Mass
