In this episode of the podCASS, I'm with Sean Garrette (@seangarrette) a luxury beauty ambassador, esthetician, content creator and skincare expert. We discuss Sean's first move to NYC for fashion, leaving it all behind, falling in love with the beauty and skincare industry and coming back to NYC (amongst other things including his love of Girls Aloud and Victoria Beckham). We play a little game of what your skincare brand says about you and of course a round of my wheel of noseyness. Sean took this episode in directions I wasn't ready for, in the best way - prepare for giggles.

Watching you from Morocco we had a terrifying earthquake yesterday that was the first time of my 25 year life experiencing a traumatic thing like that and this is helping me get out of it for a bit PS: thank God non of my family and loved ones was physically harmed but things were so serious for other families my heart and prayers are with them

Something similar happened to me as far as clients not wanting to be touched by a black person years like eons ago. I’m older than the two of you are. I was trying to get a job at a salon in a department store. I was and am a licensed cosmetologist though not practicing now. The interviewer asked me if I would be offended if some white clients did not want me to give them any type of service specifically because I was black. Of course I’m offended. Duh! Needless to say I didn’t get the job.

such a great episode- I connect SO much with his story of coming and going from New York trying to get into the fashion industry- it's a difficult world to make it in, and hearing someone else who's path wasn't all the straightforward is so nice.. I definitely felt like I've been failing at times, and it's always nice to hear i'm not the only one.

As someone who feels utterly lost in their 20s, I absolutely loved hearing Sean's journey I'm not done watching/listening to the ep yet but I just had to share my feelings or else I'll forget to! coming in with an edit!! LANEIGE LOVE!!! I used to have to import their products all the time before they globalized their stores. Hilarious interview. LOL! The resume part had me nearly on the floor. I know someone who went to an interview to work on a cruise ship and was asked if she had worked on any cruise ships. Well, she hadn't and couldn't think of the name of even one. But, in quick thinking, she responded, "Yes, the SS Minnow". When she told me that, I really did fall on the floor. It took a while for what she had said to hit the interviewer and when it did, she was shown the door out. LOL!!!! Greetings from Los Angeles
