Thanks for a well done and informative video. In the fall I hope to visit my friend in South Korea. He was here in the states working at my company. We got to know each other and I learned more about his culture and he learned about mine. I'm not a good flier so I'm nervous about the trip, enough so that I may try first class if I can afford it. Enjoy your travels. Never saw Taiwan, so this was a great heartfelt intro. NYC used to have food courts, reasonable prices and even sometimes on top floors with nice views , if not of the city skyline, at least of the streets below, like Herald Square--before it was even pleasant to look at! ;)

You gotta visit again there's so many street food and night markets here like shilin night market, ximending, jiufen (and shifen), yushan for hiking not to mention the museums, historical buildings and temples. All photogenic too.

Stellar capture of a different part of the world and how you navigated it. Very well done! I'm not a fan of flying in general, and those 10+ hour flights kill my butt too. I tried a memory foam seat pad, but it took up too much space when it wasn't in use. I've got an inflatable pad now-I think it's designed as a neck pillow, but it works for my backside. Just a thought. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Asian grandparents always want to give you more food. Tell you to eat more like you are too skinny. The cost of Taiwan food is about the same price as Thai food here in Thailand. But our food are cheaper compared to Singapore, Hong kong and Japan.

Hi Marcos, great video! I really like these calm videos with the subtitles, however I feel like you sometimes split them in awkward ways (like mid-sentence for example) and it can make them a bit hard to follow, which forces me to really focus on them and not so much on the visual content. I enjoyed this video. The depictions of food were quite interesting (and a contrast from the largely humdrum fare Marcos has consumed in Europe and New York City.) A question not directly addressed here which intrigued me is whether being of mixed Taiwanese and Spanish heritage would be perceived differently in Taiwan or Spain than in the USA, particularly California where there are a lot of people of mixed Asian or Latino heritage.
