Reading your beautiful poem... I have spent almost 60 years feeling the same. I have just sold my house and am buying a little narrow boat (on a residential mooring in England) and travelling. In the past year I have been to Spain, Norway, Portugal, Gibraltar, France and Morocco. I am now in France for 7 weeks then off to Norway and Iceland, hopefully followed by Bali. Life's too short not to do what's in your heart x

Having almost reached the age of sixty, I would say, looking back, do as much of your adventuring while your body is young and flexible and resilient. Not that the urge to travel necessarily goes away later on, but sometimes health issues arise that make it less enjoyable or even possible. So glad you’ve gotten away for a bit and hope you feel your batteries recharged. Your children always make me smile. And thanks for sharing that lovely poem.

I introduced you to my daughter in law yesterday, who says you're right up her street and she'll enjoy watchng you while sitting feeding a vey hungry 7 week old! With a 3 year old too she's not had much time for the garden this year, but loves growing veg and flowers, and they're having a good crop of strawberries this year,and we picked a few peas yesterday. Cameras are great. I put one up to cover the cat door as well as the house entrance and its good to be able to see the cats are fine. Also, it is very handy to check on which family cars and people are in or out as well as general security. I also see whose cats are visiting in the night. I love the ap on my phone, can check the 4 cameras anywhere anytime. I didnt think to aim one at the vege garden or the other animals. Might have to get a few more cameras.

The poem identifies everything I felt inside when I was ill with wanderlust. The truth is that we are all restless. This restlessness is within every human heart, in the desire to be filled and fulfilled. Perhaps Saint Augustine said it best: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.” It is when I encountered The Lord that I was finally free of my restlessness. Oncourse I still love to travel, but with a rested heart knowing that I have an inner peace that cannot be fulfilled with my wanderings. I pray for that same peace for you.

I’m so pleased that you have met Drew and Britney. I have followed them for a few years and I am so happy to watch what they do with their property too. I started with Bea and Theo, then came Drew and Britney, then came the Newbys, The Scotters and I think everyone is moving to Portugal., lol. It does look like a beautiful place to live though.
