I think the month of August to early October Mu Cang chai, Hoang su phi án Sumacai are epic. There are numerous beautiful villages and places throughout the northwest of Vietnam, and there are markets that they take turn to open every week where lots of minority ethic groups dress in different styles. Very interesting to explore. Central highlands are good as well.

Vietnam seems so chill . How do the average tourists compare to the ones in Thailand ? I’d imagine they are more relaxed and adventure seeking ?

@@jasonclarke3792 it definitely is . Regarding the tourists , backpackers , you can see the difference. I see a lot more families, older people , more active and maybe adventure seeking . But maybe it’s more that Thailand is designed towards nightlife and hedonism at times .

Tam coc is beautiful. I remember riding a bike around in 2006 without any digital navigation like nowadays. That time, I also visited Hanoi and Halong Bay. So I really want to see Sapa next in Northern Vietnam. Also want to experience Hagiang loop but I’m such a novice when it comes to a motorcycle.

They are rice fields ,, they will be in full glory in 6-8 weeks from now
