This is so beautiful to watch. They keep in perfect step, even as the line grows very long, and when they do break step the dancing is highly skilled. My brother served in the UN Peace-keeping force on the Lebanon-Israeli border (Camp Shamrock) and he told us that the Lebanese are an extremely warm and generous people. I just came upon this video by accident and I'm so happy I did. Lots of love sending to the people of Lebanon from across the waves in Ireland. 💚☘

Elders in the arab world are almost sacred....the more white-haired yu get the more you're respected and honoured.....we are both patriarchal and matriarchal cultures and elders have the biggest status in society ....it comes from Islam where parents are highly respected... The Quran says: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small."

OMG ... I was just thinking that! I mean, that dance is a total body workout ... especially the core and legs! Plus its fun and the music is exhilarating!

So simple yet so intricate. Its one of those dances that just mezmerizes you. I love watching cultural dances that have true meaning. Dances created today cannot touch this. Thank you for this.

Wonder what the meaning is. Don’t see any Women dancing. I wonder why?

Hala Hala! I met several Lebanese friends while working and living in Doha! They are one of the most fun Arab people. I miss my good friend Sabine! Wow! That brother has some young healthy knees. Y’alla!! Mabrook to the wedding couple!
