Nearly one month after the deadly explosion in Beirut's port, which killed at least 190 people, the situation in the country is critical. Already in crisis, today the pressing need is to reconstruct the city and help the abandoned children.

Living in an abandoned movie theatre, two homeless Lebanese children sell metal scraps to survive. 'Sleeping here is better than sleeping on the street', explains 11-year old Oudia. Since the explosion, 8,000 children were left homeless, with Beirut's only hospital to shelter abandoned children left in ruins. 'It took ... five years for [the hospital] to run smoothly. After five years, it went away in a minute', explains one of the hospital's doctors. With adoption a complex process in Lebanon, most children rely on charities for support, such as the charity run by Father Majid: 'I'm not shutting anyone out. I don't care about their religion or skin colour', says Majid.

Thanks for making this, I wish the sub titles were more descriptive though. I know Arabic and the subtitles were an over-simplification of what the people were saying.

Our Lord, who is in heaven, does not have a father, son or wife. God has sent many messengers from the first of the messengers, Adam and Noah, even Moses and Jesus, to the last of them Muhammad is a messenger for Arabs and non-Arabs to a messenger after him. He is the one whom Jesus preached about his coming after him in the Bible and the Qur’an. Our Lord, who in heaven is all poor and needy people. To him, our Lord who is in the sky is the one who deserves worship and no other than him. Our Lord who is in the sky is not like anyone in behavior in the universe Jesus is like the rest of the messengers, not our Lord How Jesus is our Lord while he sleeps and eats food and urinates and does not know the unseen then hardens this belief of Muslims in Jesus is the Messenger of God our beloved and I God willing, we will see Jesus and all after death in Heaven. Our Lord and your Lord, the One God who is in Heaven is the one who deserves worship and no other

Pravar Chaturvedi it was in Islam thousands of years ago. You’re not supposed to take every word of the Quran literally, that’s what these extremists countries do. Thousands of years ago religions were at war with each other but they shouldn’t be now. Adopting is a loving thing to do and I’m sure Mohammad would approve

Here I was feeling sorry for myself, because of my problems . Then I come here and see children that do not have a home, food, clothing, and security . Children should be able to enjoy there youth ,not worry about there future. Someone should direct viewers to any legit charitable organizations in this video ,so people can donate money to Lebanon's kids if they want to. Again ,it has to be legitimate organizations .

A kid in Homs committed suicide coz his father used to work in Lebanon and was killed in the explosion... He was going to high school and depending on his father but after the latter passed away he found himself with too much responsibility as his siblings are too young and his mother looks after them and can't work either...

Lebanon has a large Palestinian and Syrian refugee population. Alot of these street children their parents send them out to beg for money on the streets or work low paying jobs. Most Syrians reside long-term in Lebanon illegally. Lebanon is not capable to take care of its own population let alone take care of these abandoned children. In the Arabic culture, having a baby out of wedlock is unacceptable, so mother's leave their babies near churches, mosques or orphanages. Also, poverty is going to skyrocket especially after the economy collapse and the aftermath of the port explosion. This will definitely cause more children to be abandoned or become orphans. Adoption does happen, but not as prevalent or as easy in developed countries. Marcus Lemonis, a self-made millionaire business guru and host of reality show "The Profit", was one of these adopted children. He was adopted by an American family. He has become the chairman and CEO of multibillion-dollar corporation Camping World. Here is his story going back to find his roots: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX3IYaSLh6-spsk kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6Omk4yHj9aWnNU

Beirut was once the crown jewel of Lebanon and it was beautiful, free and safe because the majority of the population was Christian, they made a mistake by opening its borders and letting in Muslims who later became the majority who invited hezbollah in. Lebanon was slipping well before the blast came. Lebanon is turning into the next Gaza Strip.

There are well known trusted ngos working everyday in the ground in Beirut. If you would like to help victims of Beirut explosion, please do so. The residents who lost their homes & family members need alot of help, as this government is useless, incompetent & corrupt. Here are trusted NGOs that are currently on the ground helping to rebuild & support families in these devastated areas: 1. Offre Joie (Joy of Giving): this ngo is doing a great job on the ground, and alot of foreign donations are going to them. You can read more about them here offrejoie.org/about-us/ m.facebook.com/offrejoie/ offrejoie.org 2. "Lebanon of Tomorrow." lebanonoftomorrow.org/ m.facebook.com/LebanonOfTomorrow/ 3. Lebanese Red Cross. They are the first responders when emergencies or catastrophes like this happen in Lebanon and they are trusted m.facebook.com/LebaneseRedCross/ 4. So many questions 8,000 kids become homeless after the explosion what parents kicked them out? The misery because the beef with Israel is killed many of hunger and lack oof proper medical attention . Why they can afford so many new luxury cars how they can afford so much military hardware ? After the explosion when wasn't time to set the video shooting . Why in 99% of the cctv videos a MAID BABYSITTER cleaning luxury apartments ? I don't know when hidden camera and suddenly videos from cellphone show a different country when is an international report productions with Hamas approval is so sad and desperate situation ... I don't know is just question .....

Because of Lebanon’s dedication to the 18 religious confessions, there is no civil procedure for adoption. Each religion has its own court structure which follow separate laws, and those laws oversee adoption. The relevant religious court must approve each adoption. For cross-border adoptions, Shari’a law, for example, does not have adoptions that match what those in United States consider adoptions. The Islamic court will grant guardianship to allow foreign parents to take the baby from the country, where it is understood that the adoption will be finalized. Christian institutions, on the other hand, have a legal adoption process. To make the different laws more confusing, Lebanese orphanages do exist. A religious group runs them and the children inside can be adopted according to that groups law.
