One of the ladies interviewed (I'm sorry I forget her name!) said something that just struck a chord with me. The interviewer asked her why didn't "it" (i.e. her past relationship) work, and she simply replied "it did work", and she basically said that just because a loving, functioning relationship didn't turn into marriage and matrimony that doesn't necessarily mean that particular relationship was a failure. I think people are conditioned to assume that if a couple breaks up or divorces that it was because of lying, cheating, abuse, etc or something negative. But honestly a certain number of relationships just run their course and people mutually decide to part ways because it's just the logical thing to do at that point in time. I really never thought about it like that until she said it, it's a very valid point.

LionOfTheEast Oh, it implied the justification of finding you writing the former part of your post. If that wasn't enough, I'll add this: Taking a women at face value. Take the red pill bro, if you don't know it, go and learn.
@mostaphamassaee34796 жыл бұрын
I find no justification for that conclusion whatsoever. While it is true that some women are manipulative and opportunists, most aren't. The stigmatization of women as "self advertiser" would only fool the ignorant. I'm not a feminist in anyway, but that is a huge generalization you just made. The opposite can also be directed against men, and I don't think you would be happy with such assertion.

Intelligent documentary with very perceptive and intelligent women in these interviews. Having known many Lebanese migrants in my life l can say that the women involved in this documentary are educated middle class, it makes some difference with those not so well educated and migrating out of Lebanon for a better life. Education and money seems to make a serious difference in attitudes in this country with so many links with France for good in minor ways but deplorable in the main as history seems to indicate.

Love is not infatuation or that fleeting feeling the butterflies you experience. True love defies time and boundary, true unconditional love means to be compassionate to each other, you see beyond the flesh you forgive your shortcomings because no one is perfect, you learn to live in harmony you go through obstacles together and come out at the end of the tunnel stronger as a union. Love is earned through years and years of hard work. Plain and simple. If you equate true love to infatuation which many people seem to be these days, you shouldn't even get married in the first place because you'll be disappointed

These eastern women are quite westernised. And I do not mean that in a bad way. And there are many men from eastern countries who face the same dilemma's. This leads to a sense of conflict with the 'eastern' part of the culture. In a way, one is ashamed of being single, because that brings shame to everything we subconsciously attach value to. We look at the west and want their freedom and their sense that an individual is at least as important as the collective. We in fact look with a certain degree of contempt at our eastern societies. But at the same time, the fear of actually being alone and without our 'eastern' collective lingers in the back of our heads. I don't know whether I am making any sense, but this is a subject that haunts through my head all the time.

where can i meet single lebanese women?
@c.e.stanton9886 жыл бұрын
Why would they want to get married? This is the better question. As heterosexual women, marriage for them would mean being legally and financially bound to men. Men give women reasons every second of everyday to not enter into relationships with them. They will lead healthier lives single and they know it. Being married to men would send the quality of their lives down the shoot. The men themselves would be a bother, plus the way society would treat them as some man's wife would be worse. It is better to be hassled about not being married than to be hassled over being so and so's wife. I think they are afraid so answer honestly, because they know the hateful and aggressive responses society will give them.
@erics23056 жыл бұрын
If women really want to be independent that's fine with me, I think everybody should be free. But the problem is that in my opinion these same women will still want to benefit from men, they want to be employed by businesses founded by men, they want the law to guarantee them equal pay, they want paid child care, child support, and so on. Basically they want all of the benefits and none of the "downsides".
@hassanalzaher38936 жыл бұрын
C.E. Stanton Nope, females would lie down like a cadaver each single night whenever they hit the wall and have no offspring. Statistical findings of psychological studies say that about "healthy" female humans. It's a well documented and expected phenomenon. Men feel the same when they lose grasp on their territory i.e. status and achievements. We, men, would easily find death a much more pleasant taste in the back of the mouth than losing to another man. Believe me my lady. We, men and women, both can't escape our biology. Now can we? Lucky you if you could, not if you thought you could rather. Your advice is a misery regime that is based on no scientific ground what so ever. Is it really ethical of you to advertise such a message to young women, oh yeah you are a single woman and ethics aren't around anyway, it's all about your feelings. Women know how and why women advice each other already. it's all about the adviser's own comfort and benefit. I'm glad that proper marriage material type of females are too instinctive to even consider your precious existence. They are the source of life no wonder. Hope you a really better life, lady. Take care.
@c.e.stanton9886 жыл бұрын
Great. If you are the whole game, then stop depending on females. Please become independent of them. Stop depending on your mother for unconditional support Stop depending on your wives, concubines, slave girls, mistresses and prostitutes for your sexual gratification Stop depending on women to care for your children, especially your sons Stop depending on women to build you up and take care of you when you fall. I don't even know why someone as full of himself as you would even humor the presence of in individual you view as so inferior . For a guy thinks he so much greater than females, you sure do make a fuss over them. Stop making a fuss over females. Its sounds like they are not worth your time.

Rael Asande Gumbe why should I be forced to hire women if I don't feel like it
@c.e.stanton9886 жыл бұрын
Then don't. You can assume the cost of not making use of their resources. There will always be someone, man or woman, to hire women and use what women have to offer. That is why men have wives and concubines to begin with, to make use of women's resources and capital. I hope women don't hire you either. It is important to understand that is it not just a company that hires you, but also consumers. Women exert a lot of influence over which company's or vendors are used "hired". I hope women don't hire you, whatever service or product you offer so you can't go without money in your pockets and be the beggar that you want women to be.

Saying that it is easy to find a partner at any age is dumb... It is much easier to meet people before you start your working life, something the speaker is probably too young to understand.

Why does the jewelry designer keep interjecting in English every 4th or 5th sentence?
@highfrequency82346 жыл бұрын
It doesn't make me cringe but I'm curious why she does that. What purpose it serves.

Wow! Hard to believe. But only one woman keep alternating in English. The other women spoke straight Arabic.
@marianenohra42546 жыл бұрын
HighFrequency actually younger generations do that a lot they mix French English and Arabic in one sentence. It can become a hassle but it's a Lebanese habit I'd say

Ha hah! You haven't seen Malaysians speak in Malay! It is heavily sprinkled in English! Every like 4th word is English when speaking in Malay. It partly has to do with incompetency and ignorance of the national language.

First thank you for a great job. Now the thing that shocked me is the money issues that this sample of characters, obviously represente the majority, are so willing and are importing western doctrines neglecting the men when it comes to financial management. So silly that the Arab Female not willing to share the pardon of financial needs for successful house financial expenses. The man supposedly the one to manage all the house expenses. I lived with Western and Arab ladies and the difference is so great. The women in the west have obligation to help in house expenses and sometimes more than their shares. It's built in their persona while the Arab women not willing to grow up and help. It is so immature to think that because that is the duty of the man. So we see that a rich Arab man have more chances to get married while the less fortunate ones can't. Shame that Arab women think this way. Strange that such women will judge a man according to their wallets. Also one note they will eventually get married to almost any one that got money and that is the truth.

Abel starboy question for you if you are a Christian Can the women get divorce in the bible if the husband is abusive? The women have to commit adultery to be divorced and any one marry that women and will be called an adulator according to the Bible.

Although these all woman are production of marriage. The purpose of marriage is to secure future generation by working together. If they are single and with a child who is responsible for taking care of that kid.

The problem both men and women live in a fantasy world these days... both compares the male and female figures they have in their mind about how their other partner should be and to get along they wear the mask before marriage and then they drop it after....beside the heavy burden the society imposes on you especially in a society like Lebanon where money is the prime reason to get married as money makes living in such country bearable ..if you have money then you have much chance to get a partner. these days men getting overwhelmed by the demands of being in a marriage and the low wages that you can barely live on...so they look for a quick fix without being committed..

Why does the woman in the white top keep mixing English and Arabic? Not that I have a problem with it, I'm just wondering if that's common in Arabic-speaking countries.

It's probably because her command of Arabic is not as good as in English. Manglish(Malay+English) happens ALL THE TIME in Malaysia at all levels.
