Dan can really turn South Beach Sessions into one of the top interview spots. Truly great at asking questions that prompt insightful responses and (most importantly) laying out and letting the guest talk

Big Dan Lebatard fan his whole awesome career and with all of his characters on the show Dan stands out by far. In this world of fake people I applaud Dan for being as real as anyone can be in this platform. Thank you Dan. Your fan Jeff. An American living in Vietnam. You are a pleasure my friend. ❤😊

What I appreciate so much about these South Beach Sessions is that, you can tell, Dan's not just filling "content". It's not just Dan sitting down with his friends in the business "shooting the shit". Its a LEARNING thing. It's the learning that comes with the exchange of ideas, the exchange of experiences. Dan left the comfort of the " "worldwide leader" and Disney and LAUNCHED himself into an unknown stratosphere in the middle of a global pandemic into creating something. A multimedia enterprise where he does from being "the talent" and an employee, to being the boss. He's been open and has made no secret that he believes that he sucks at it sometimes (and his candor and self-deprecation are part of his charm). But you can actually SEE that SBS are therapeutic for him, he really is trying to get better, not just as head of Meadowlark, but as a husband and friend and son, etc. And I he chooses his guests based on qualities and attributes that HE admires, and that he believes can her him get there.

Brilliant interview Dan. Masterful. Kevin always seems to interact on whatever level the host is on when being interviewed. You brought the best and most open out of him. Couldn’t get enough.

10:41 Kevin is 1000% right. Decades ago we weren't given a good playbook at all. When Gen-X and millennials were kids, the majority of us were told, "Do well in high school so you can go to college, and then you'll get a good job." We were sold a false promise, which is why you see the student loan debt in at the height it's at. College isn't for everyone, but 25-30 years ago, we were told it's the only way to find success outside of the outliers (pro athletics and entertainment). Financial literacy was NEVER discussed in school, and it should be made a part of everyone's curriculum in every school in the country.
@thisguy8106 Жыл бұрын
Amen. This bugs me. When I graduated high school, I went and did tree work in Texas, got staph infection and had to go to the hospital and my credit was ruined IMMEDIATELY. I didn't know anything about any of it, and I didn't start learning until AFTER I was behind the 8 Ball, badly. It still upsets me all these years later.
@MrMice... Жыл бұрын
I'm not a tin foil/conspiracy/hidden agenda type of guy but I've always wondered/questioned why "financial literacy" wasn't taught every year of high school (free education)? "They" don't want to share the knowledge. Many industries need an uneducated workforce. I feel if all were properly educated the retirement age would be 50. Just sent my kiddo off to college and told'em take ALL the finance classes you can. Make your money work for you or you'll work til you die.

Great discussion: Kevin's message should be a good pep talk for Dan. He feels his emotions - and Kevin wouldn't be a great stand-up if he did not - but as the show cancelation/up-fronts weekend showed he did not make *emotional decisions*. Although in Meadowlark's case maybe Darth Vader Samson is there to help make cold, emotionless decisions so Dan doesn't have to...😂

Americans keep choosing themselves instead of Us, we chose self in the 70's, then we chose hollywood social politics in the 90's. Are sociology and education went spiraling down from there.
