The NBA has been doing Christmas Day games regardless of which day of the week it falls on for years. The NFL is forcing teams to play an unreasonable amount of games in a very short window. For both the Steelers & Ravens (3 games in 11 days). If Christmas falls on a Monday, fine, Monday football is a long-time staple, but when it gets to Tuesday's, Wednesday's & Friday's, they're clearly reaching.

The NBA had LJ say that because the NBA a few years ago remade their schedule so NBA players can have Thanksgiving off, which was NBA saying ok NFL you can have Thanksgiving day. The NBA thought that the NFL would return the favor and not put games on Christmas day, which NBA has done for decades, but NFL sees it as too much revenue to be made. I wonder if NBA will start to air games on Thanksgiving sooner than later as retaliation.

Specific to December 25th, 2024, for anyone that ACTUALLY WATCHED games THAT day, not only were the basketball games better, they were a lot better. That was NFL greed on display. Keep on going on with the "Stinking Thinking". We've already seen a playoff game go to a stream only format for most of the country last season. Although the schedule hasn't been set yet, expect them to repeat that this year, maybe even with more than one game. The Super Bowl IS headed the PPV way.

I will say the game earlier in the Christmas Day was amazing between the Knicks and Spurs. You can still find your spots in this league, kiddos. Stick with Wemby and the Joker to have some fun and you can find some ball to watch. Cade in Detroit. You can still find beauty in the game. Just pinpoint the guys that really want it and want to evolve their game and thus THE game.
