This was probably the best team of shooters around LeBron in his career then with what Dwight and javale brought every night I really miss this squad

It is certainly right up there. Personally, I'd take that Heat team for the time period of the game as far as mix of shooting and defense. They aged out pretty quickly, but they were a damn good team that would have been better even half a decade later.

yeah, also they had a very solid all-around defense. And their chemistry was the most underrated aspect of this team, they are like a group of friends going out hooping 😂

PG Lebron the 3rd best version of Lebron after 2018 bron and 2013 bron

Tend to disagree there. People really do forget the dominance that was young LeBron in his athletic prime, the absolute zenith that he had from 08-09 to 12-23, and the intensity he showed looking for a championship in 2015-16.

Point Bron mt rushmore for sure 28, 11, 9 block and a steal, 56/37 splits in the playoffs and FMVP. 2018 2009 2012 2020 13, 16 super close

@@fiveunofive I think 2013 as a whole is one of the greatest individuals seasons in terms of production, efficiency, versatility, and then team success adds to the that individual greatness. However the one thing that brings it down somewhat and can lead us to say certain bron seasons are better, is the underwhelming post season in 2013 (compared to the regular season anyway). Due to not really having to face any real competition until the pacers in the ECF, bron was far from his usual dominant self for the first two rounds of the playoffs. He carried the team during the ECF, then he regressed in the finals and didn’t wake up until game 4. Other years like 09, 12, 15, 18, 20, bron had to be dominant all throughout the run so his post season numbers improved and he imposed his will in every series. I get the team was really good in 13 so they didn’t need that version of bron, but to me there’s still no excuse for the beginning of the finals that year being as underwhelming as they were. Regardless bron got the job done the last few games though. I’d have 2018 as his best individual year, then 09, then 2013, if we’re taking into account the entirety of the season

@@drich008 respect your opinion for sure i understand why. i hold playoff basketball to a super high standard and the same for supporting cast. Im definitely basing off of the whole season i watched alot of basketball i dont think i've seen a single player better than 2018 Lebron. I understand 2013 lebron shot 40 from 3 and the dpoy robbery but he was very mid in the first THREE games of the finals. Easily his worst finals out of the 4 rings he won i think you would agree. Not saying he was bad. But yes individually 18 number one, 09 lebron was ridiculous lmao, 12 > 13 celtics series from that year smh way more dominant in playoffs won finals in 5, 15 lebron was thanos 36 13 and 9 in the finals & 2020 bron was the best passer in the league led in assists and averaged 30 12 & 9 on 60FG% 40%from three and they only lost 5 games the whole playoffs. Its all objective tho thats saying alot about how long bron been good.

I think in the long term it has proven to be an ineffective strategy considering the way that each member of that roster has grown as a player, but the immediate success they achieved subsequently was the payoff.

LeBron James's leadership extends far beyond scoring points. Being the NBA Assist Leader in 2019-20 showcases his incredible ability to uplift his team and create opportunities for others. His dedication, vision, and selflessness are truly inspiring. Let's learn from his example on and off the court! 🏀🌟

I’ll go to my grave saying lebron should have played point guard his whole career. I know he’s always been the primary ball handler. But it’s different when he’s playing more of a pure point guard role.

Strangely enough, I feel that had Bron started playing in the 2010's, he would have evolved into what Jokic is now and been a true point-forward. But yes, probably should have gone the Magic route from the start.

We need this version of Lebron next year, not doing too much scoring but instead playmaking and getting the team involved. They can be a 50+ win team if AD or Bron not going down with an injury

I don't think people realise that if the other members of the team don't get touches and aren't allowed to develop a transition to a new period in time then the team will just fall off much like every other team that LeBron has stayed in control of for too long.

Have to disagree with this one. A second championship? Sure. But of all the championship teams that the league has seen since the 2000-2002 Lakers, it ranks down the bottom of the list for teams to do it. 2006 Heat, 2008 Celtics, 2011 Mavs, and I'd say each champion since 2019 are the teams least likely to do it. Now as far as a leading combo in AD and LeBron? One of the best 1-2 for a single-season the league has seen. One can argue the best since Kobe/Shaq 2001.

Have to disagree there. WHile he was the league leader in assists that year and produced to a high level, there is no way I could ever consider that season to be there at that level from a point guard perspective.

I think people struggle to balance what level of impact the extra facilitation helped this Lakers team. On one hand, the extra look for the assist got a lot more people involved, and in-turn generated more momentum and feel. On the other, there were a few times where LeBron probably should have continued to shoulder that load to score or take over. All in all, though, it did pay off for a championship.
