Jordan could probably guard todays power forwards since he is so strong for his size and pippen could probably guard almost anyone.. Lebron is slower than pippen laterally

I feel like in the 2020-21 season, his help defense and off-ball defense was spectacular, and in the 2019-20 season, his on-ball defense was great. When he locks in, he can be an elite-level defender.

He would look more like this again if the Lakers had better rim protection for him to play aggressive D on the perimeter. The problem with the current Lakers is they have no one who can contain dribble penetration and 0 front court depth. Their only real rim protector is AD and he's always out. Thomas Bryant is a sieve. I remember a couple nights ago LeBron completely clamped Dejounte Murray on the perimeter but it didn't matter because Westbrook was ball watching and let his guy get the putback. If LeBron strays from the rim they just give up offensive rebounds and layups which is why he plays a more stationary role as a backline defender in smaller lineups.
