To your point the reason theres more pressure on Lebron after getting swept is because it was obvious his intentions on wanting to establish a team that was capable of contending for the championship. When MJ was on the Wizards there was no expectations of him winning any championships ...he returned to see if he could still compete and he did so averaging at least 20ppg both seasons 01-03 with bad knees and a broken rib the 2001-2002 season with multiple 40 and 50 point games in a much more physical era
@haters_hater
@haters_hater 11 ай бұрын
agreed sir,, this is why the physical era is always brought up in the conversation because lebron should be dominating this era because he didn't get as much collision as mj or OGs did in their time,,, besides he should have done more dare to that basket given that it's the tail end of his career,,, kinda like what Kobe did,,, give his haters a lesson,,,😂

10:55 Bron was actually hooping in this series. Also Bron took his team to the playoffs. Jordan with the Wizards did not go as far. I think that Bron comparison to his youth is still there because Stephen Curry is now 35, won a chip last year and they met up in the playoffs.
@HumbleHurricane

Jordan also was a franchise player who took his lumps early in order to build an undefeatable family over his career. Which is why once they figured out how to win, they never lost again as a unit.....ever. Jordan built his career around that team as they did him. Bron jumped from super team to super team hand picking who was best for him to collect rings and jumps ship when it doesn't work out. If the bulls stayed together, Jordan would have had 8 rings easy. No team was even close to what they built. Also, the game was MUCH for physical which is why careers didn't last as long and it was more about down low, posting up, using your big man and driving rather than today's soft, flopping 3 point contests. For the last 12 years or so, I can't stand how soft the league has become. But it is what it is. The athletes also has much more advanced technology, medicine, remedies etc to help keep their health in check, perform at top levels etc than 25+ years ago so longevity is, of course more normal. Bron is already a freak of nature, combined with the soft era and his dedication to his health, modern technology, and his super team hopping, it only makes sense for him to have the chips he has.....but with all those advantages he should have WAY more. Put Jordan's 6-0 bulls in this era and he'd have 10 💯

@@HumbleHurricane they built a team around MJ got him pieces, they didnt do that for bron and he still took a team to the finals in fewer amount of years than in took MJ to get past first round. i dont disagree tho that jordan would hav 8 rings if they didnt disband or if he didnt go play baseball. bron did jump to 1 super team in miami but that was to counter the superteam that formed in the East with Celtics big 3. cleveland wasnt even a superteam KLove was cheeks in playoffs and was never a allstar as a cavalier and Lakers i dont see a superteam.

@Tron yeah but the bulls were an incredibly cheap organization majority of the team were interchangeable role players especially during the first 3peat and didn't do much after they left the bulls ...as rookies it took Horace and Pippen years to develop into elite players and that was because of MJ and his leadership helping mentally and physically toughen everyone to get past the Pistons..even with the 2nd 3peat Bulls MJ, Pippen, Rodman and Harper were in their early to mid 30s and they still won because of the hardwork and chemistry...people say MJ was a Ahole and etc the practices were more intense than the actual games and MJ prepared his teammates for battle
@jasonhearn5818
@jasonhearn5818 Жыл бұрын
Modern NBA is more offense oriented far less physicality. MJ played in a much more physical era so that puts alot more wear and tear on your body alot faster but in comparison he still accomplished more in less time. Besides if people are using longevity as an argument then Kareem should technically be the GOAT over lebron since his 20 seasons were much more physical and he has more rings

That's what I'm saying... I'm not even up LeBron fanatic like that but even I can admit that it's insane that he's 38 years old, year 20, played on a torn tendon in his foot for months, was averaging damn near a triple-double, took his team to the Western conference finals, And on his last standing foot ( literally and figuratively ) in attempts to push his team further he plays the entire game and is their leading scorer again.. almost getting another triple double... And out of everything that I just mentioned somebody will have the nerve to come up and say but he shot terrible from 3 🤦🏿‍♂️. LeBron is something unworldly. And the more hate and hate and hate he gets makes me want to become more of a fan for him.

I personally feel like players like D’Lo and Lonnie walker are used to getting the ball more and hooping, but because Lebron is on the team, Lebron has to have priority of people passing him the ball and there might be friction amongst the stars on the team because of this. If Lonnie carried the team and lebron had 4 points, it wouldn’t look good for Lebron. So basically I feel like we have high expectations of Lebron because he is still healthy and in good shape and is probably asking for the ball and has to get his points in, and the others may want to help him but they don’t get hot by passing the ball off or sitting on the bench the whole game. Not to mention if they help Lebron win these games they don’t really get the recognition they deserve. If Lebron was just an old man playing a side role and letting others dominate the offense then you would see more contribution and points from the others, and our expectations for him would be lower.

Also he's still not better than Jordan, what Jordan accomplished in 15 years is still more than lbj. And before you say " but the eras are different" The game now literally benefits the offense and with LeBron size and talent, there's no reason he isn't dominating, and i win in trophies. 18 attempts in playoffs, 10 times in the finals, and he only won 4!!!! cmon bruh

I just don't like that he had to resort with the flopping. Especially back to back to back doing it with Denis Schroeder. Lebron is very good but the flopping ruined it for me. _Must be Wade's influence._ Lebron did not flop during his rookie years with the Cavs.

1. Jordan at 38 was retired with nothing to prove. When he was playing at 39-40yrs of age he was playing on a dying franchise with 0 All-Star teammates by his side and wasn't favored to win a championship nor expected to compete for one. LeBron is still playing his heart out with a lot of sh!t to prove as it pertains to being the GOAT or a Top 3 player. 2. In a cupcake league where players get the spacing of a football field, foul calls for brushing cloth, tolerance for carry's/travels like a Pride march on Sunday service, and techs for passing gas, averaging 30 as a 38yr old isn't that impressive. 3. His horrible shot selection, inconsistency on defense, and inability to take care of the ball was the main reason they lost this series. He this season had the worst +/- and TS% of his entire career on top of having a bottom 5 3pt % in the NBA. His lack of efficiency and scoring output down the stretch to close the game has been weighing em down all season (Just look at Gm1, 2, and 4 of the WCF). Don't forget they only moved up from the 12th seed to the 7 seed AFTER LeBron got "injured" and when they began to lead the league in FTA. 4. The more you praise LeBron, and the higher of a pedestal you prop him up onto, the more and more hes going to be judged on how he plays especially when HE CHOOSES TO STAY. PERIOD. You can't call him the GOAT and King at one moment talking about what hes doing at 38, and then blame his age, teammates, and make up injuries whenever he does lose. Thats not how sports works. If you can't handle warranted criticism, you're welcome to DM LeBron and tell him to retire for real and go play streetball

Bro his shot selection was terrible the fact that Austin Reaves was the most consistent player and I ain’t say the best player but the most consistent player that series should tell you something, Lebron shot selection was terrible shooting so many 3’s early in the shot clock but he has been terrible shooting all year not just 3’s but midrange shooting too he should have drove the ball more because that’s where he was real effective and really unguardable also he sold I think it was game 3 he airballed a layup at the end of the game

1.Jordan still wanted to win but he couldn't trade Kwame for who he wanted so the staff mistreated him 2. James Harden was ridiculed for averaging 40, same with Westbrook triple double season 3. Efficiency is very overrated, how did Kobe get past the Spurs? 4. That is exactly how sports work, he sells tickets, people pay to watch him, if he lost a leg or a arm he can still make a starting lineup.

If u notice it’s his fans or flat out haters - no in between, that expect and still want him to b the bron they grew up and fell n love with. By the time jordan got old, Mfs already knew like the back of their hand he was the goat so “expecting” goat level play wasn’t needed. His fans already were greatful and didn’t expect to win any more. Bron fans still expect and want him to win his 5th as if he’s Miami or cavs bron like ppl have been wanting ever since he got his “4rth ring”. If he gets his 5th in their mind the debate is over like when Jordan got his 6th. His fans at 6, felt like they don’t have to prove anything. They don’t want to move on yet. If dat makes sense.

Instead of appreciating it we bash what he didn’t do when you got people like AD being hella inconsistent. Lebron deserves some of the blame but to put it solely on LBJ is crazy.

I was just saying that its not the expectation for bron in year 20 its just the fact they play both sides they blame his age soon as he plays bad but go nuclear when he plays good in year 20 even tho its impressive for the age u cant use it both ways its contradicting

Cel I love your channel. But come on man. Bron is a GOAT. I have MJ ahead of Bron. But you cant compare other greats to Bron at his age because those greats had injuries and they didnt have the nutrition and technology that athletes have now. Not to mention the talent LeBron has had at his age. MJ and Kobe specifically had injuries at these ages and they didn't have an Anthony Davis. Now again not taken anything from Bron but those are facts.

Michael Jordan had a 40% chance of getting a ring when he was on the basketball court. Lebron James has a 20% chance of winning. Even if that means Jordan was more capable of winning the championship, it doesn't mean he's better than Lebron on the court. Basketball is a team sport, and it goes to show you, Michael Jordan had a better team. Plus, the teams both played were tough, but in today's age, Lebron does have more threats than Jordan too. Conclusion... It is what it is.
