LeBron James is likely to play against the New York Knicks tonight as he recovers from a sore right ankle. Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel said that LeBron was a full participant in practice yesterday, which seems to be a good indicator that his injury has recovered well after taking the past 4 games off. Before that, LeBron had missed 6 weeks due to the ankle sprain and has already told reporters that his body will never get back to 100 percent for the rest of his career. Chris Broussard joins Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless to discuss why LeBron's return makes the Lakers the favorites in the Western Conference, but not in the NBA Finals.

Not at this time because it all depends on what level of Lebron returns before you can make that assessment. I don't see him being near 100% fit, they all thought he had fully recovered when he returned after missing 20+ games until he played some games in anger and then re-aggravated the injury, not sure how missing a few more games will make that big of a difference as it is likely he will have some lingering discomfort either during the game or most likely after it once the adrenalin has worn off. Assuming he plays, tonight will gives us an indication as to where he is at but it might not be until he has played a run of games before we know whether his ankle will stand up to the strain he is about to put it under.

Lakers could give Durant a problem with length by playing Drummond at 5, Montrez 4, AD at 3 (to cover Durant), James at 2 (but on defense he could guard Harden), Schroder at 1. It's a high offense long arms lineup. I'd like to see how KD responds to a long guy on him like AD and two big guys stuffing the paint like Drummond and Montrez. Also Montrez has no problem scoring down low even if Drummond is there unlike AD. Last I'd like to see how Harden responds to LBJ on him.
