Conversely LeBron missed more than that many games in the playoffs over an ingrown toenail in a shorter period of time. Also took him nearly twice as long to get the same number of points and let's not talk about playing a whole game. Bro. Fans do t get that he would be in a better position when talking about how great he is if they stop making comparisons where there isn't one.

@Trina Lewis right, people always talk about LeBron amd his longetivity but his longetivity in itself is of no value to any team if he's not playing and participating at that level. Real goat convo players like Larry bird played with a broken orbital socket and still finished the game amd made the game winning shot.

It's not an opinion. I saw Magic, Bird, Kobe, Lebron, MJ....... playing, and there is no question who is the greatest. The impact he had on the game was insane. Just for example, I live in Germany, Basketball isn't a big thing here. But me and my friends met at 1am in the morning at my place and watched him play during the whole night. MJ is the GOAT. But I think Bird and Magi made basketball cool. that rivalry along with some other players (Dr J, Kareem, Hakeem, Worthy, etc) made the NBA legit competition of the NFL. The next phase MJ, Barkley, Shaq, etc continued the legacy. But something happened and now the NBA is an after thought. That alone should show why Lebron is not the GOAT. So many do not care about the NBA or to see Lebron play. Everyone was watching the NBA and Jordan back in the day.

Yes I agree, he is the World's Best Basketball Player! Michael is much more humble and LeBron is more of a big mouth. However, I feel that LeBron was the top player in the 2010's and 2020's. But MJ is the Greatest Player of All-Time. He outworked LeBron in the Scoring Titles 10-1, meanwhile, LeBron is going on his 21st season and already has more total points then MJ and every other basketball player. Michael hasn't played anywhere near as many games or seasons. If I had to pick a Top 5, it would go like this: #5) Magic Johnson #4) Kobe Bryant #3) Larry Bird #2) LeBron James #1) Michael Jordan

I had the privilege of living in Chicago and going to many Bulls games in the 90’s during the double 3-peat. For me, IMHO, Michael Jeffrey Jordan was the most incredible athlete that I’ve ever seen play the game! He had every asset and seemingly no liabilities. He could do anything and everything with a basketball AND was absolutely beautiful while doing it. He’s the definition of poetry in motion. MJ’s will to win was second to none! He thrived in the 4th quarter of close games and he loved the pressure of those moments. He would not be denied when a championship was at stake and he could not be stopped! Also, the physicality of the game during MJ’s days was off the hook! He was hit & pushed on a multitude of his shots but that type of contact was legal back then. MJ was never the biggest dude on the court but he was BEAST MODE all the time - strong & athletic with an agile, liquid body. Kobe picked the right person to model his game after. The MAN was UNDEFEATED in the NBA Finals during the most physical era In basketball (IMHO). He played both ends of the floor like he was possessed. His passion, determination, leadership, intelligence, heart, skills, and work ethic are LEGENDARY! He is and always will be my G.O.A.T.!!!! 👑🐐🏀🔥❤️🤩

@@nunyabusiness7927 But, if you compare the number of games they played, you find one reason for Lebron lasting so long. He played all 82 regular games just once in his career, Mike did it 9 times. Also the physicality of the game made players last a shorter time back then.

Jordan was on a different level than every athlete in his time. And today. People talk about how Floppy is bigger and stronger. Magic said Michael was the strongest athlete he’d ever seen. Not talking about just basketball. Bobby Knight said Jordan was the best basketball player and athlete he’d ever seen. And that was in 1984. There aren’t any players today that compare to MJ. People either just were not present during MJ's time, or they've forgotten about that time. But it was f'ing magical! The things he did, the moments he created, and the overall atmosphere he brought about is unparalleled in sports history. Period. We who were present, were watching a legend in the making, and we knew it. MJ was the single most recognizable person in the entire world. Watching clips and documentaries cannot convey the talent and impact he had in multiple industries. Not just basketball. Quite simply, you had to be there to understand. I don't see anyone else ever becoming what Michael Jordan became. People compare MJ to anyone they want, Kobe, Lebron, whoever. There is no comparison. None of them would be able to withstand Jordans perseverance and tenacity. Even if they could keep up with MJ for a minute, he will ultimately overwhelm them and dominate every time.

What we're doing right now is what's going to be done hundreds of years from now. Watching MJ. People were born to do certain things and excel at them. He is top tier and the benchmark of exactly that. The beauty of the art and skill he shared with the world, as an individual, is arguably unparalleled and will last for ages. To me, there is no argument. Perfection personified. If there was ever something to emulate as perfection and wonderment in sports, it will always be MJ at the top of the list. Now think, what futuristically (futuristically mind you) can you reasonably imagine will top all of the highlight videos and accomplishments from this man over the past decades. Not saying that it won't happen, but I haven't felt confident in seeing anything close, with the exception of Kobe. And guess what blueprint Kobe used for his career? Simplistically, if you had to look at video highlights and compare MJ's to others, regardless of era, what would honestly give you the most excitement and desire to resemble as a basketball player? Now, or a thousand years from now? EXACTLY!!! MJ DA GOAT! Now... how long ago was it that he played compared to the other player y'all be talking about? Huh? He played 82 games practically every season, exerting max effort. I knew parent were saving up there money to invest in the opportunity for their family to see him. He said he never wanted to leave without a show, without highlights and memories. When he didn't play 82, he still gave 80-81 games. Additionally, it was such a treat to fans for a star of his magnitude to compete in the dunk contest. He risked embarrassment, damaging his image and brand...however he went out and showed out, nailing every dunk the first time. Kobe had MJs supreme confidence and self belief. Not a Bron hater but I've seen him shrivel in big moments, quit on the court, not give his all on defense, load manage etc... MJ played most of his games, had as high if not higher minutes played than LeBron and Kobe. MJ played harder on defense during his older Wizards years than Lebron has most of his season.

Best post. Can’t say it any better. LBJ is great but the facts show he is not goat. His game has many flaws, he is not a great shooter and he is not great defensively. LBJ is the greatest jack of all trades but master of none. MJ was also a jack of all trades but he mastered most of them. The ones that won you chips he mastered. Defense, offense, mental toughness, leader, shooting and scoring, loyalty to team and teammates, blocks, steals and a host of other intangibles. Brons greatness is his longevity. Goat at that even though there is evidence of it being aided allegedly. He is not great at shooting, defense, loyalty to team and teammates, not mentally tough, not a great leader on both ends of court, and makes excuses for his failures and blames teammates and coaches. There is no contest between these two. Biggest mistake Lebron and his media shill pals made was starting the media brainwashing 13 years ago about Bron being better than MJ. All that did was expose his flaws more than they were.

Early June, school is almost over, you’re outside playing hockey and your dad yells “The NBA Finals are on!”, you and your buddies drop your sticks and run in to watch MJ and the crew. Only Jordan could get kids from Buffalo captivated about basketball like that. It really was a great time to be alive.

As a UK fan (38yo) having seen this mix tape so many times - Its STILL crazy. I stopped watching NBA for like 15 years like during my 20's and 30's. Basicallt when Kobe retired. Really getting back into the league last couple of years. All I can say is that in the 90's it was a totally different game. Looks way more physical than it does today. Seeing MJ dunk on 3-4 people, all of them puttin hands on him, is something else. Other than the Black Mamba mix tapes - I have not seen anything quite like MJ's. Maybe Lebron has a Mixtape that rivals this - but I haven't seen it. MJ is just a different beast - AND when you know the context of some of these highlights, game winners, must win plays and the guy just did it. like ALL THE TIME. This is must see TV for anyone who wants to be a student of the game itself ratheer than just a fan of the current era. Hope you enjoyed it as a first timer. Keep it RoughlyTuned

Dude! I got madd respect for you. You have just said out loud, what I’ve been arguing with my friends about for the last 10 years. First, I’ve never heard someone say it out loud, that Kobe’s game was patented after Jordan’s. He clearly took all the moves, walk, mannerisms, and even the tongue out during the game. Now, I will say that none of that takes away from his greatness and accolades, because he still had to play the game, and no one can deny that he went hard every game. Also, King James is the goat…..but, OF THIS ERA. He has garnered crazy respect for what he has brought to the game of today but JORDEN IS TRULY THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. I’ve never been a fan of Kobe or James but, I’ve absolutely have been a fan on MJ every since he entered the league and he will always be my number one of the past, present, and future.

90s was arguably the greatest basketball Era IMO. It's crazy how much more athletic, skill, basketball IQ he had than the rest of a lot of these stars. Pure magician with the ball in his hands.

Every single game MJ played with the BULLS had highlights in it. Every single game. Lebron definitely got MJ on longevity, but we are comparing all the accomplishments MJ had in just 13 seasons (Officially its 15 seasons, but 2 seasons were under 18 games played so let's be real) to Lebron's now 20 year career. Think about that. Lebron has had way more time (almost 7 yrs) to rack up total stats, and yet hasn't yet reached MJ's peak to this day. During a season does anyone care about total stats. Do we say Luka right now has 1301 points this season or do we say he is averaging 34.2 per game. You feel me? Now will Lebron gaining the total point scoring title make him better than MJ. Kareem has always had more total points than MJ and he wasn't better than MJ, so no. Put it this way.....If a player averaged 50 ppg for 3 years straight and dies from a car accident, and another player averaged 20 points a game for 10 years, do you really think that 20 ppg player was better then the 50 ppg player? The 20 ppg player would have scored more total points because of playing 7 more years (longevity), but in no universe was that player a better scorer than the 50 ppg player. That's why career PPG is more important. Kareem's career PPG was only 24.6ppg. Bron's is 27.2 and MJ's was 30.1 Also, look at peak scoring years for all three players- PEAK: Bron - 31.4ppg, Kareem - 34.8ppg, MJ - 37.1ppg MJ's is 6pt higher than LBJ and he shot the 3 less than half the time LBJ did. Think about that. MJ had to work harder scoring on twos, and still has 3 buckets per game on LBJ. The fact that MJ accomplished more and won more in less time seals it for MJ. He did more in less time against a brutal defensive minded league and he didn't take the easy way and construct superteams to cakewalk to the finals like today's players have. He used whatever teammates the organize got. That makes a huge difference when judging careers. As spectacular as Lebron can be, he does rest of D to manufacture the energy for his points. I don't respect that because not playing D makes your team lose games. MJ exerted energy on both sides of the ball and was playing elite offense and elite defense. Kareem had natural height and for the most part of his career he was in the paint waiting for blocks with no 3 sec rule. So his defensive feats don't impress me as much. MJ had to earn his blocks and steals by chasing for them. Nothing wrong with having Bron as your favorite player. It's just when this topic of "Goat" comes along most are eager for their favorite player to be the Goat. It's always best to look at all the factors and remain as unbias as we can, so we can appreciate true greatness.

Don't forget that it took 20 seasons for LeBron to catch Kareem while Kareem I'm pretty sure only ever shot maybe 1 3 his whole career.

+ MJs defense is really what sets him apart. Lebron would have to play 25+ yrs to catch MJ in steals. Not gonna happen. That's how great of a defender that he was.

The thing about No. 23 is that every single game was a highlight reel. He was and is the most athletic, skilled, and electric player to have ever put his hand on the ball. One word that sums up Michael Jordan that separates him from any other player is “Determined”. You just can’t teach that.

Unfortunately, highlights don't really expose the part of Jordan that earned him GOAT status. In a time when the battles between offence an defense were so physical and intense, his intimidation and dominance he held over the league was incredible. His ability to control the game, to come through, to embarrase you. It's hard to see in just highlights .

Jordan was so competitive. Even if he had an offnight...you knew that next game he was going to go the hell off. That's just how he was. He hated losing..much like Tom Brady. It was fanaticism. You just don't see that level of competitive nature in athletes.

This MJ mixtape always bring me chills. When you're 6'6 and have a 48" vertical, he pretty much dunked on damn nearly every NBA player from the mid 80's to the late 90's. And the hang time was just mind boggling.

To think that the young studs today saying look at me I'm doing the same thing as mike 😂😂😂 😡 NOOOOO! Because mike had to go through hell with a quickness and grace even getting touched up with elbows and all back then and back then he would get knocked down by a player and keep going 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 Try it now and these guys will be leaving the court on a stretcher 😂 and be out for months oh yeah the other player gets fined

He did dunk on everybody. Literally all of the notable big men. The longest holdout for several seasons was Dikembe Mutombo, but he made the mistake of pointing it out to MJ in the locker room at an all-star game, in front of the other stars. So of course the next time the Bulls played the Hawks, MJ schooled him and postered his ass.(there's YT vids about it) Jordan's ability to impose his will on any other player was unmatched and just unreal. He could take any sleight, joke or trash talk, no matter how trivial, and use it to cut your heart out and feed it to you on the court. MJ is the GOAT of all GOATs.

I am 42 years old. Sir Airiness, better known as 👑 Michael Jordan 👑 I love ❤️ basketball. I am a LA Lakers, fan. When he played, I watched & rooted for his team. His style of play will keep you guessing & capture BIG plays ⏯️. He brought pretty & wrote the ✍️ law to hang time. Who doesn't want a pair of Jordans? Especially back then, growing up. Different era. LaBron James & Kobe Bryant (R.I.P) They're good, but they didn't have that. I have to say 👑 Michael Jordan 👑 is the bar 🍻. That cat is an alien 👽 from a different planet.
