but for example 1 as string ending with b is also acceptable (it just has to contain a) then automata at state q1 on implementing alphabet 'b' should return back to q1 so that it can accept strings like ab, abb, abbb, as it contains 'a'.

In this video you have taken the question where string ends with "a" so from 6:56 you have said the string "aab" will not get accepted that's true but if we leave "b" to go from Q1 to Q0 there will be no problem as it can end with "a" for every string. I am not sure whether I am right or wrong but if someone with better knowledge knows about this please reply to this comment. Imp exam coming in 2 days.
