In a computer system employing demand paging, the average disk access time is 1 ms, and the page fault rate is 0.001 per memory access. If the TLB hit ratio is 90%, TLB lookup time is 5 ns, and TLB miss penalty is 300 ns, what is the effective memory access time? Mam can you please help me find the solution when the page fault rate is given.

Pl Post this question exactly in the way it is asked..bcoz there are two things asked here. Also, the slow rate has to be in percentage but the answers in options are given in ns. If we assume to be just the difference in EMAT in both the cases, then the right answer is option b... that is (174ns -138ns) = 36ns 174ns is bcoz of 80% hit ratio and 138ns is bcoz of 15% miss ratio.
