Wow that Angel Hair was incredible! The way the light seemed to shoot off it, it was unreal. There's no other place on earth like Lechuguilla. You're so lucky you got to experience it. I hope one day, I might be able to as well. 🤞

i was invited on a 7 day trip in 1999 to be a helper on a photo expedition. The trip ended up not happening. I was gutted then and its no easier today. I watch these great videos with wonder and sadness. My biggest regret in life is that I never made it in to Lechuguilla cave.

I wasn't sure if it could get any more spectacular than parts 1 and 2, but the third part of this series brings it to a whole new level. I teach university chemistry and I wanted to let you know that I often play your videos in the 5-10 minutes before my class officially starts, and students have made it a point to arrive earlier so they can watch the next installment of your many awe inspiring journeys. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for bringing this treasure to those of us that can only dream of embarking on such adventures!

I just discovered Lechuguilla Cave in a National Geographic magazine and WOW! this video is amazing! I have to agree the lighting on the Gypsum Needles and Flowers is spectacular, so sparkly! Thank you for all of your hard work filming these beautiful formations!

Thank you! This must be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I’ll never be able to visit it, but it makes me happier knowing it’s there. Glad that it’s there, being beautiful, even right now, and no one is selling it or touring it or making a buck from it. Thank God it was found only in the last century & on public land, maybe we won’t destroy it.

Just amazing. Great work. I am still in awe that all of your work is hand held. All of it is just spot on. The lighting on the needles might have been my favorite part but there are lots of great shots in there.

❤🧗‍♀️ Love your videos! Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful cave of wonder into my life. 💎 My favorites were the Crystals... especially the Gypsum Flowers & delicate needles. It's amazing & mind boggling to see what Mother Nature has created. 🧗‍♀️ I used to go spelunking when I was younger. My favorite cave was the Crystal cave in the Chiricahua mountains. I was lucky to be invited to explore it while I was volunteering at the Southwest Research Station nearby. Treasured memories.

Very sweet. If I wasn't old, I'd arrange a way to help with the survey and see it with my own eyes. Very beautiful cave. I'll have to be content with a few tourist trips here in West Virginia. I'm only 66, but my stamina is going. Sigh.

Derek, I absolutely love your videos. Your lighting and video technique are wonderful and your narration is great. I am an old caver (not at your level) and as part of my master's degree in Geoscience Education, I did a field geology class at Mammoth. I am inspired to get back underground again. Thanks!
