I love your new grab & go TN from LeCow. I also love watching update TN videos on set-ups, patina, wear & tear, etc. hopefully you can update us in the coming months with a video on how your TN is aging. I'd use the A5 LeCow TN as a cover for my junk journal. My tip is to use your journal to add those small bits of life...random things that you may not think are that important now, but are the big things as time passes. I love documenting my observations of life, the fleeting moments, & my gratitude. I love to include in my journal a sweet moment when out of the blue my son in his sweet little voice says "I love you mommy", a joke my son told me, a story about flowers that my girls picked for me, dinner time conversations are always funny/interesting, our current favorite song/book/food etc., a quick note about watching my son hold the door open for a lady & feeling proud of the gentleman he is becoming. I'm so thankful for my journals :)

Oh, oh, oh...how beautiful the A5 is. A5 is a size I have wanted for a long time. I would use it for journaling and some sketching and art work. Its so lovely and the dings and marks only add such beautiful character. 💝 Thank you for this wonderful giving back generosity.

How generous of you! I would use it for my daily spiritual journal. One journaling tip......just do it! Journal everyday you can. Express your true self with words of gratitude, pictures you take or cut out of magazines or paint. Whatever feels “right” for you.

I have always wanted to try LeCow! I recently bought an A5 Stalogy to keep with me and take notes for my daughters cheer team. This cover would be perfect for it :-) Journaling tip: Keep it simple. Journaling doesn't always have to include pictures, doodles and documenting extravagant events. Journaling is to capture the essence of who you are...boring days and all. Thank you for the chance to win this gorgeous TN!

Thank you Mits and Diamond both for your generosity. I love both of these leather covers. Diamond has some interesting designs. I would house my Midori A5 gratitude journal in this cover. One thing I have found helpful for daily journaling is to always have a small notebook nearby to jot down happenings that I don’t want to forget. And as part of my bedtime routine I jot down a few words in my journal about the day so I can come back to it later when I have time and do proper journaling.

Love your channel and sharing your passion of travelers notebooks. I started an A5 notebook when my husband was diagnosed with serious health condition and it is a story book of our journey through this process and would love to find a beautiful cover for it, just haven’t. A great tip is to not be hard on yourself with your notebooks, I started a tradition of drawing cute monsters in my notebook when we go to these appointments and at first I judged myself and as I share them with him and the staff who takes care of him we laugh and enjoy these creative creatures and that is when I learned to embrace my journaling and not judge it❤️ keep sharing you inspire me on my journey at this time.

I found your videos through watching Skylar Hand’s unboxings of your Stationery Selections subscriptions. I I love Japanese stationery (from afar, lol). Both of those covers are beautiful! I recently purchased an A5 Nanami Papers notebook to chronicle our moving to our hopefully last home. We are retired and have bought our little dream home in the country. I plan memory keep and art journal in a minimalist style. The book is black and would be so inviting in the cover you are giving away. As for a tip, all I can say is RELAX and journal when you feel led. Life is short and we should not stress over things.

I've always admired this TN! I'd use it in a similar way to how you were. For a Hobonichi and a commonplace notebook. And my tip is to not compare yourself to other journalers. Cause while you might not love a spread you make it's still your style and it shows where you are at the time. And you get to see your growth as you go. Everyone is going to have their own look to their journals and planners and that's why I love this hobby.

Wow, I have loved this traveler's notebook ever since you got it! What a special giveaway! If I were to receive it, I would use it for my A5 bullet journal and then for my future A5 hobonichi cousin that I plan to get in the fall. I love that it has artists pockets, perfect for the art journaling I do in my hobonichi! The journaling tip that I have is while you are journaling at your table or wherever, grab a paper cup and set it by your workspace. This serves as a small trash bucket for all the little scraps that you can't keep. That way when it is time to clean up, you can just dump the contents of the cup in the trash in one easy motion. This has been so convenient for me! Thanks for this opportunity and I can't wait to hear the results!

I'd use that notebook as a cover for my junk sketchbook! I call it a junk sketchbook to remind me that as I practice and learn, it doesn't have to be perfect. It's just a place that I can practice and learn. It's a way to see the progression in my art journey. I love that cover because you can easily store pens and ephemera in the pocket! It's stunning! My biggest journaling tip is to just let yourself go in your journal. Don't worry about perfection, because nothing in life is ever really perfect. Write as you need to, stick stuff in as you need to, draw, and just have fun. Journaling is an outlet and a joy, and if you worry about perfection it can start to become a chore. Thank you for doing the giveaway Mits!

I am currently using an A5 size bullet Journal and have never had a special cover. When I first saw your unboxing of the artist journal from LeCow, I was in awe. It would be miraculous to have such a beautiful cover. My one piece of advice Fort journaling is to journal in a way that's natural for you. It's important to not try to copy others, to stretch yourself by trying something new, but not to force it.

Hi Mits, thanks for this giveaway and your generosity. I am from London Ontario and I would use this bad boy as a sketch journal. I would put a sketch book and a regular size TN to art journal/memory keep. I would take the opportunity to get out and explore more. As you know Canadian winters can be hard, yet the rest of the seasons are wonderful and beautiful. My tip is to not be afraid of journaling or drawing just start you don't have to show anyone. Just be you and when you are ready to show off your stuff there is a huge community of people who will support you.

Those notebooks are soo pretty!!!!!! I would love to use the A5 for housing my composition notebooks when I use them since I use them quite often. It would keep them from getting torn from being thrown into my bags. Also a journaling tip would be to be honest with yourself while you journal. Because lately I've been using my Midori TN and I've been the most honest with myself in my journal than I have been in a long time while journaling. Also Mits your channel always makes my day when you upload!!! :) Hope you have a lovely day!! :)

Beautiful tns! I would use this notebook cover for my A5 journal/planner (Hobonichi Avec). My tip would be that you don’t really require a lot of supplies to journal or document your life regularly. All you really need is a good pen, some paper, and maybe some stickers or washi if you so desire. But ultimately, all you really need is to let your heart flow onto your pages!! 😊😊

That’s so sweet of you to give back! Thank you! I’d use this journal to house my A5 Hobonichi cousin.. it’s my work planner.. My number one journaling tip is to log gratitudes as often as possible.. life seems a little simpler when you focus more on the positives than on the negatives..
@rozalynncarlin81985 жыл бұрын
I would definitely use that A5 cover to house a new art journal since it would give a me more space to collage and have fun! My tip for journaling is to pick a pen or color you really enjoy using and start from there. Using different colored pens is super fun whether it’s in a writing journal or an art one or both.

I would love to own the Le Cow artist A5 notebook. I recently ended 18 years of editing and publishing other people’s poetry. I am now free to follow my own artistic muse. The notebook would hold my haiku, haibun and free verse poetry. My journaling tip is to be breathtakingly honest in what you write, no pretending, no hiding. 🦋

💗 I've been pining for a leather A5 notebook. I would make a homemade junk journal out of scrappaper just for this journal. My tip: If you don't have time to journal, it's ok to journal about that day as if it just happened, in 10 years you won't know the difference. 😘

Wow-to own a cover used and loved by you would be such a treat! How generous of you to offer it! I will put my Hobonichi cousin in it if I'm lucky enough to win. Then you can journal anywhere anytime!

I would love to use the A5 for my mixed media sketchbook. My tip is taking organizing my Washi tape by theme on the little plastic cards so that I can have it with me easily. I just pick the one that I want to work with over the next couple of weeks and leave the rest with my Washi collection.

Wow, I would love love love to win that notebook!! I’ll use it as a self love journal since that is what I’m working on right now. My tip for journaling would be I not stress yourself out with how it must look, the specific pens you must use, and the beautiful words you must write. Just write, the words will flow out of your pen. It is very unlikely that you will sit down and read everything that you’ve written in a couple years from now. So it does not need to look a certain way. You are writing to clear your head of thoughts, convictions, limitations etc. So trust them to the paper.

I would use the A5 TN to journal with and add my drawings in. I would use this to help me sort my thoughts, my mind. I'm hoping that by having all my triggers, emotions in a notebook that I could get a better understanding. IF I were to win this, it would be a grateful aid to that. My best journaling tip is to take things in baby steps and small sections. I myself have to remind myself when I am scrolling in ig, fb, pinterest, etc. It's a habit to try to overwhelm yourself with looking at different journalers. So for example, i'm trying out layering my focal points so that when I open my journal it brings out that part as well as a memory.

As always, I enjoyed your video on the grab and go and the update. You have a lovely way of addressing everything I want to know and answering all of my questions before I even know i have them! I am more of a writer than an artist and also on a budget, so since falling in love with travelers notebooks I have worked my way up from pocket to B6 slim -- always wanting and needing more writing space. But my Nanami Seven Seas A5 notebook where I do most of my serious writing remains seriously underdressed. Actually, naked! It would be thrilled to wear the stunning LeCow outfit. It feels neglected, inferior, jealous of the inserts wearing chic, and in some cases Chic Sparrow, leather. I guess it believes you CAN judge a book by its cover. My journaling tip of the day is don't. cheers!
@SuniqueTarot5 жыл бұрын
Wow that’s so generous and kind. I’m studying with the Open University for 6 years, this is my second year and a cover for my notes and design ideas for my coursework would be lovely. I could also house a reflective journal in the same cover. I live in the UK and hope one day to visit Tokyo but it will probably take a couple of years to save up for a trip as I think I’d need an extra suitcase for the wonderful stationary. I watched Rowenna’s video and you guys all look so happy. A journaling tip would be to use different text sizes in bold colours so they draw your attention, to maybe have a row of small photos under each other that flip up and are secured at the top of each one held by washi tape so you can journal on the back of each one (hope that makes sense) or maybe a simplified index at on the final page in case there’s something you want to quickly find. Love your videos, your gentle energy and voice.

Hi Mits, this was a fantastic video! I have been dying to try a notebook cover from LeCow! I would use this as a cover for my Hobonichi Cousin but may alternate with my work planner. So beautiful! I’m going to look at getting one regardless! I would use the TN to house my journal - which I use as a kinda brain dump/ memory keeper full of ephemera. My main tip is not to stress when you get behind... journaling is meant to be relaxing and fun - not a chore that you worry about when you’re a few days/weeks/ months (at times) behind. Just pick up a pen and start where you left off

HI mits!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this Le Cow TN! I would use this to keep my art journal. My tip would be to use what you have and don't put too much thought in it. Just do it! Start now!!

This is an amazing cover to put some sketchbooks selfmade as well some other low cost notebooks without bothering with the cover. So, i would use it mostly to keep these sketchbooks and save some money from buying too high cost ones. I'm doing a comic so using paper to brainstorm is essential for keeping the ideas flowing and fresh. And, thats my tip about journaling, as the name says: the heart of journaling is the journey, not the final result only but the process of making ideas take form on paper. So, never mind how or where you start art journaling, the adventure is what matters the most. Thank you for the give away ^^

I'd love to enter the giveaway for the Traveler's Notebook. 🙂 I've never had one before, but I've been enjoying the bigger journals lately. Currently, I'm working in a B5 size. 😊 I'd definitely be using the A5 TN for journaling. Just writing out my thoughts, and how I'm feeling. 🙂 My journaling tip is it's never too late to keep a journal, and don't be scared of the blank page. Write whatever you'd like. If you're confused on where to start, there are a lot of prompts online to get your creativity going. 🙂 You can also keep one for your children, your spouse, a memory book/scrapbook. There are many journaling types out there, so find a style that makes your heart feel content.

I would use it for my journal/sketchbook. A journaling tip for those who have a hard time building a practice or habit of journaling, write the date down first. I’ve never had a cover for it so this would be beautiful. My only journaling tip is don’t pressure yourself. I used to set goals of like writing everyday and all that did was stress me out and make me not write. So yeah, set your own pace and write when and how you want. :)

I love watching your videos. I always find them to be calming and wonderful inspiration to make my journaling more exciting. I would love to win this TN. I'll be going back to school in the fall (if I get accepted *cross fingers*) and this TN is perfect size to keep my calendar and a thicker notebook. I also like to do doodle, so having that extra space for art insert would be great. In addition the pockets on the outside, I think will be perfect to keep some writing tools on hand. My journaling tip is when I don't have that time to journal for xyz reason but I want to in the future. I would write out a breif description of the thought/idea/events I wanted to write about on a post it and stick in my journal. So that when í have the chance in the future. I won't forget about it.

That's beautiful. I would like to be entered in the A5 giveaway. I use my a5 as journaling notebooks. I ramble in some, I doodle, I try new techniques and just make a journal I am allowed to mess up in. One tip I would give, is to have a goof off journal, where you have permission to be terrible and messy and you can even keep it hidden so no one sees it. But some days I just feel like I need to just play and not worry that it's in a journal that I intend on keeping as a keepsake because it's a throw away journal. Also, keeping my play journal in a tn makes it as special as my keep journal. Because play is just as important. Thanks for all your wonderful videos and I wish you the best. Hugs

I just finally watched your video and OMG - yes, I would love to win the notebook! I just started journaling in an A5 notebook from MD. My number one journaling tip that I have such a hard time with myself, it's simple as well: Just do whatever you want to do! There is no limit on the journals you use at the same time, no rules for formats, pens you use, how often you journal and what the end result looks like as long as it makes you happy and brings you joy everything is fair game!

Hi Mits!! I think it's so awesome that you'd give away such a beautiful TN cover! You're the reason why I got into collaging and junk journaling, so if I were to win this grand contest, I would house my 2 collage journals within it. I would also be very inclined to post my own videos 😊 What a wonderful way to give back to your community! A journaling tip that I have is to look up what sign the moon is in before you start journaling and place that somewhere on your spread, that way when you look back on your creations, you'll notice a correlation between how your were feeling that day in conjunction with the moon sign. The moon is supposed to represent how you may be feeling during the 2 1/2 days it spends in any given sign. For example, when the moon is in Pisces, I often find myself writing about dreams, daydreams, manifestations, and it's easier to channel info. Pisces is a very dreamy sign. If the moon is in the sign of Aries, you may feel fired up, playful, and perhaps a bit impulsive. ⚡ Thanks again, Mits!! Sending you and your family many blessings. 💖

Ohhhhhh!! It’s sooo pretty!!!! I’m gonna grab me a little slice of REAL leather heaven to house my daily journaling one day.. in a yr or so.. when my kids all move out.. 😂😂😂 jk! Kind of hahaha I need to ask for one for Mother’s Day or Christmas lol!!! You need to just use a book ring to hold your tassel!! I wrote all this before I saw you were gonna give one away!!!!!! Ahhhh so I wasn’t hinting 😂😂😂 how kind!!!!!! let me go read the rules now lol! -- OK SO!! I read the rules!! I would definitely use to house my TNs!!! If my B6? I believe sixes wouldn’t fit, I’ll definitely just move to A5!! It’s beautiful, and loved so who cares about scratches and dings! ♥️ As for a tip... I think I would say (speaking to myself here!) DONT overthink it! Sometimes I get sooo caught up in wanting to make my pages pretty, I don’t get my feelings out and then a couple days have gone by! Take the 10 or 15 min and jot down your thoughts (even if on a card or piece of paper, and go back later and put in there)... all the pages don’t have to be perfect. I also will type out moments in my phone so I won’t forget as well! Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Love your videos! If I won the giveaway I would use the TN for my Hobonichi Cousin that I'm using as a recipe journal. It still needs a cover so this would be perfect! My tip would be use your journal for whatever you want! I love to cook so my journal is for all my recipes, old and new, and it's been so fun to create and use daily.

Oh man I'd really love notebook cover. I'd use it for my sketchbooks. I've been looking for a nice cover to use with them for so long. And my best journaling tip: Washi tape! It can help you break areas up, tape pictures into your notebook and even just add a little pop to a page if you wanted. :D

On his website, it looks like the tassel is secured by untying the elastic, threading it through the tassel loop, then tying it again.

A chance to win a notebook cover used by you - oh yes please!!! I bullet journal in a TN cover and would definitely use this to hold my TN booklets that I'm currently using - it's stunning! Been following you a while, glad you're feeling more yourself again. Your spreads in the Hobinichi Techo are inspiring me to branch out more into art journaling! Thank you for this opportunity to win 🤞🏻

Hi Mits, thanks for the review! I would love to join your giveaway. The LeCow would work perfectly to hold my A5 watercolor book and I am currently assembling a mini travel palette that could actually fit in the big pocket on the back :) My tip for any journaler who wants to save money: Make your own inserts! It means you get exactly the paper and size you want - generally at a much better prize. I stitch my inserts and have them cut at my local office supply store for a very small fee - it makes for very clean and exact cuts. There is a ton of KZbin videos on it for different tools and techniques.

Unrelated to this particular video but I've been meaning to ask: what's the daily calendar you use for your Hobinichi Cousin that has the tear-away dates for each day?

Hi there ❤️ I would use this gorgeous journal for my urban sketching. It is perfect! My journaling tip is to draw a card from "Medicine Cards" and journal about the message and how it pertains to my life. Thank you.

I love your unboxing and updated video. I have a Grab and Go but in nude and slate, love it so much.💕 I would love to use the A5 for my Hobonichi. One good journaling tip would be using prompts. Thank you for the giveaway.😊

Hi Mits! I would love to win the TN and would put both an art journal and junk journal inserts inside and journal to my hearts content! If you don't like your drawing, invest in some stamps! You can make it your own by watercoloring the stamped object.

Thank you for the giveaway! I'll be using this to house my Hobonichi a5. I have been using hobo a5 to journal this year and didn't buy any cover yet. One of my tips is to use collage sheet (Courtney Diaz of course) and watch inspirational YT :) thanks

Hi Mits, I would love to join your giveaway. You just made me visited the lecaw just now ahhahaha. It was so tempting to save up and maybe purchase it in the future. I just visited japan with my bf last year (It was one of the best trip I ever had in my life) and I journal down everything in my TN, I tried to gathered all "items" of the everywhere I go. Like when eating a soft cream and I will take away the cute cone paper holder and stick it into my book haha, Or even stick the card for bike rental in Kyoto, put some aroma at Kobe Nunobiki Herb, they allowed you to try and test the oil there . My tips is to: decorate it before hand, since I didn't have time to do so at the trip. I split the notebook on how many days I went, just nice I can put 2 pages for each day, 1side will be time log of what I did. other 3 side for anything I collected. I will use crayon, dye ink, irregular type of colour for background (stickers and stamp too). :) What will I do with the cover? I will put my custom paper notebook in, and continue with my artist journal where ever I go! (my insta: napyonz you can see some of the sketches and drawings there haha) and give it a new adventure in my "future" japan trip (i was looking for Scoot airport ticket just yesterday =)) , might be flying in October again to Osaka haha) Thank you for always posting Mits, Been watching all the videos since 4 years back haha Things has changed so much, I just enjoyed so much that people still so supportive for your channel!

I would love to join the giveaway. I would use this for my B6 slim Jibun techo 3-in-1. I love it, but the current cover is pretty lackluster!
