There's a war going on outside and Lecrae is putting himself on the front line. In addition to his contribution on The Birth of A Nation soundtrack, the Houston native raged against the machine with an emotional freestyle at this year's BET Hip Hop Awards. Weeks before his Destination Tour, the Grammy award winning stops by to talk about his religion, misconceptions, celebrity, independence and more.

Carl Turner "no convictions"? "No judgement"? You trippin bruh. That's straight judgement. Trying to indirectly do it it and sugar coat by adding that comment but clearly there is judgement by posting the statement. Not to mention how you gonna say "no convictions"? As if your aware of how he felt when he said it?

Shakalaka Bombastic Scripture and interpretation Many inside and outside of the church get these scriptures wrong. Everyone makes judgements about everything all the time. In fact as you read this you are trying to judge whether I am someone worth listening to. You are trying to judge whether I know what I am talking about. The Bible does not say this is wrong but does say this. "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” ‭‭John‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ We don't condemn worldly people and say; " because of their sin they are forever condemned" but we do judge where they are at spiritually and their sinful actions. Even none Christians judge everyone they meet. How else would you distinguish who is someone you would like to be friends with and who you would like to stay away from? It's simple and ridiculous to think that we don't make judgements about people and places and things because we do. It would be like trying not to have an opinion. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬ See it's not "only GOD can judge me" like 2Pac said. It's more like GOD has already judge all man kind and you are in need of a savior. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ In 2 Samuel 1:13-15 we see David executing judgement over a Amalekite. “for he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭ASV‬‬ Not everyone is called to execute punishment like King David was but we are all called to rebuke and identify what is sin. Inside and outside the church for all who are saved and will be saved. For the good and love of all. Where the Amalekite people Jewish? "And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite. And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord's anointed? And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.” ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭1:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬ See if GODS Grace is extended in a smaller amount towards none believers than so is HIS righteousness and judgement extended over them in lesser way. The law is for the lawless. We uphold the law. New wine in New wines Skins New whine in Born Again believers Old wine for old whine Skins AND BOTH ARE PRESERVED Who is the old wine for? Also Herod was only partly Jewish. Like almost everyone in America has a family member who at least considers their self Christian. Or was raised in a Church or some type affiliation with "Christian" Herod is a none believer and what does John do? He holds Herod accountable. Even though John was not giving the power execute judgement or punishment over Herod he still rebuked the none believer “For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Although he ruled over the Jews in Israel in the time before Christ, Herod the Great was not completely Jewish. He was born in 73 B.C. to an Idumean man named Antipater and a woman named Cyprus, who was the dauhter of an Arab sheik. ... In the gospel of Matthew, the Wise Men met King Herod on their way to worship Jesus. “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:1-3‬ ‭ASV‬‬ Mathew 7:1-3 simply means do not be a hypocrite. It does not mean not to make up your mind about a person. It means not to be a hypocrite and to judge with righteous judgement. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” ‭‭John‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ It's also important to note that if you have identified someone as a sinner and not a Christian you have already made a judgement about who they are. See this scripture in Corinth when it says "Do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.” It does not mean to NOT tell the worldly person of what is right and wrong. Like John to Herod. It simple means that you do not have the right to execute a judgement of punishment over the worldly sinner. GOD decides their fate. But the brother in Christ you not only have the right to correct and rebuke verbally but you can also execute a punishment and cast out the wicked person and let GOD decide their fate also. Obviously because you can not enforce a punishment over those who do not submit to you or rely on you or who you have power over. David was different because he was giving the King position to rule over the people and execute judgement “for he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭ASV‬‬ In other words we still judge the nature of the behavior of all persons inside and outside the church. We rebuke all. But we don't have power to execute a judgement of punishment over the worldly sinner. “I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators; not at all meaning with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world: but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat. For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:9-13‬ ‭ASV‬‬

I say I don't judge because of God grace on me, I speak as a brother in Christ on the language he uses to talk to folks that take his faith as a joke and a money scheme, but me saying no judgment is to say I understand he's not perfect, yet check Christon Grey interview with sway when he says marriage is serious Shxx. I'm just saying my brothers are getting too comfortable.
