Todays young "believers" are turning GOD into what they like, such as music like this. I believe that if this keeps up, every Christian in 50 years will be in it for the pop music and other contemporary things.
@getinloser666Ай бұрын
People are talking about his relation to God, but aren’t mention the fact that he’s openly anti-capitalism and urging young Black people to resist buying into a cycle of slave-like loyalty to these “high end” institutions. It’s really direct and I’ve never heard Christian Rap before; I appreciate that.

A good tree can only bear good fruit, and a bad tree bad fruit. You judge a man by the fruit he bears. Lecrae it legit. He loves Jesus. He's just doing something different that the world ain't used to. Everything belongs to God my people. Everything. Not just Christian things. Get out of that religious mindset and set your eyes on Jesus. He music is real send spreads the gospel and truth. If you still feel skeptical on Lecrae so be it. But he is living for God. Just doing it in a way that we're not used to. Jesus was radical, different, talked with sinner, ate with them, etc. Jesus is our example. Let us follow.

@RanTyr10 жыл бұрын
hotrapmix Why are you singling out only those who believe in your god? Wouldn't having all rap that has a positive message be a good thing? I am confused.
@hotrapmix10 жыл бұрын
RanTyr I promote Jesus music, but also positive music. For example Vaughaligan Walwyn Grace Still Abides album. Has Paul Wall, Scar Face, Mike Jones, and other people who in times past rapped secular and worldly things, but in this album about God and positive things. I just want people to know that the majority of it is gospel, so they know it's that Jesus music, they'll know I have faith in him and not another god. Because these days you can say god, and it doesn't offend anyone until Jesus is mentioned because of the new age movement, and there is a lot of people with the belief that all religions are one in the same, but I want people to know that I believe there is only one way, truth, and life according the bible. Like Von Won, in the Kingz Camp, Faith It Till You Make It album, I'll never take "Jesus Out My Music". I'm a 100 % supporter of Lecrae being a rapper that is Christian, and doing positive songs too. It's his mission, bait, and outreach for lost souls. I do think there needs to be positive songs that aren't preachy though, check out Tre9 Suburbs ft Lil Keke and Big Pokey.
@fredrickgordon20015 жыл бұрын
The Holy Bible speaks on this directly, telling us not to engage in worthless talk instead we should be speaking to one another about how to remain in obedience with God's word while living in such a way that our actions speak louder than our words, though our speech should reflect Christ in all conversations and be informative and uplifting to anybody we have conversations with.

If you haven't heard Lecrae before then this might be a little strong, he has such an authority given through Jesus to say these things. Especially in these times people will not understand through cookie cutter terms and I am glad there are artist who are not afraid to say things and keep it real. How is that demonic? If you sit there and judge instead of build the kingdom up that is why we as Christians have a problem. Don't sit and point the finger... BE THE LIGHT!!!!!!!! God bless u.

Lecrae is the best disciple for Christ if the world dont like him he dont care cus he say he down for Christ. Lecrae should be played all over the radio stations but the devil refuses to have souls be saved. But we all know one day all knees will bow down and God will come for his people blessed are those who use their talents to glorify God and help the lost generation keep it up Lecrae your hard work will indeed reach the lost!!

Why does everyone think that the only thing gospel artists need to rap or sing about is Jesus? Like come on he's talking about real problems in the industry and our communities. But just because he's not talking about Jesus people wanna get mad? Grow up people there's more to life than just hearing about Jesus 24/7 and going to church. We have real issues that need to be exposed and he's doing a good job at doing it.
@tramainebennett30606 жыл бұрын

I've met Legrae and he is a very spiritual Jesus loving man. This song is expressing his feelings about how mad he is about people always talking about the wrong things. He said when you're talking about lust, money, and alcohol your words add up to nothing, because you can't buy freedom with your money, you can only find freedom through Jesus Christ. I'm also tired of people talking about these nasty unnecessary things, so I understand what he is saying.

This man has talent and speaks about more than sex, money, and everything that "rap" is today. I honestly didn't even notice he doesn't even curse either (at least I don't recall any--so numb to it at this point)!! The things he touches at on this album are so deep and real. I just love it. I wish much success to him.

I don't understand some people. They claim that they "don't trust" Lecrae or think he has sold out. Quick question: Those of you who are really Christians, how many times do you say "Jesus" or "Christ" on your job? How many times do you mention Jesus in your everyday conversation? Is EVERY conversation spent trying to bring someone to Christ? The answer is no. However, you live your life in such a way that reflects Christ so that people see Him in you. So how is this any different to what Lecrae is doing? In this song, he talks about how hip hop/rap as music doesn't promote any good values. In Runners, he talks bout being faithful to your spouse, in Welcome to America, he talks about slavery and the effects it still as on black people, the treatment of veterans when they return from war, and the way US businesses exploit workers in other countries but how many despise those same people from migrating here. No mention of Christ in any of these songs, but all of these are Christian issues and guess who spoke on all of these very human issues...JESUS. Stop wasting time attacking this man. He appears to be fulfilling what role God place him here to play. I suggest you stop attacking him and do the same.

Trying to transition from secular rap to Christian rap and I've been enjoying Lecrae's music and already have many of his songs. Does anyone know any songs that are very similar to this one in beat, feel, lyrical quality etc from him or other Christian rappers cause it's absolutely perfect?

Check out Trip Lee, Andy Mineo, Canon, FLAME and KB. Lecrae is part of 116 Clique and all these guys spit fire.

I can relate to this song because I feel the same way about music nowadays. I respect old school, oldies,and Christian music a lot more than today's rap music
