KING SocomVet Who are you to call him lukewarm? What if you are lukewarm yourself? Also, the Bible says we should judge righteously. Calling another believer lukewarm is not righteously judging him. The term “lukewarm” was in reference to the church of Laodicea, which is in the book of Revelation, I think. It’s not about trying to do things for God to prove that we are His, but rather it’s the faith that we have in Him that should propel us to do good works. Being lukewarm is believing that your works is going to get you into the kingdom of God, which is not true.

@kwamd.14614 жыл бұрын
KING SocomVet What you mean by “read again” bro? What’s your definition of lukewarm then? Everything I told you is based off of my research. We take things out of context at times, and we need to be careful with some of the things we’re saying. A lot of people are deceived, and think that they’re preaching and doing all these things for Jesus, when, in actuality, they’re just doing it for their own ego and self-righteousness. Look, we have all fallen short of the glory of God. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before Him. Only God and Jesus can make us righteous, and not ourselves. I hope you take the time to read this brother. God bless, and take care.

You know boldly speaking about injustice and about how some pastors ignore it while preaching prosperity; then remaining silent in front of the pastors and representatives that call good evil and evil good because they are in a position to benefit. You know mainstream like signing with Columbia records that had artists including Lil nas X, Tyga, 50 Cent, and Michael Jackson (channelled nephilim). That kind of mainstream. I actually respect the way you dealt with this and you're a good man, I respect that you have the ability to think through what it is you heard before reacting. Even if you disagree still, it's all good, but the way you dealt with it is very mature and you won a supporter from me (not that you were asking for it or need it).
@IGotOTGame Жыл бұрын
A lot of people think they know exactly what they would say or do in these situations and that is so wrong. There are many times where I have reacted exactly how I think I should have, but I look back at so many times where I stood stunned, or taken of guard or just nervous that I regret and wonder why I didn’t say this or that after a racist or misogynistic or unjust statement. We don’t realize that our reactions can also be affected by mood, health/ mental situations we may be dealing with, etc. I even remember being so nervous talking one time that I realized I had not even heard what the person before me said to the same question . That made me even more nervous and I was so scared that maybe I just repeated the same thing or didn’t acknowledge something really important. I don’t care how many times you have stood in front of a crowd, it can still get to you. The blame is entirely on Louie. I am so sick of stupid non apologies. Louie needs to grow a spine, mature and not be terrified of his own audience. Acknowledge your mistake to the fullest and say what is wrong and right. Louie left such a vague non-apology meant to not rock the boat. Even the discussion of slavery was him trying to address a serious problem by not really addressing it.

Very sad and yet interesting interview. I never liked his music when he first appeared in Christian circles. The cross-over he made really made him fade out of Christian interest. Also, he comes across with the mentality of being a “social justice Christian”. No such thing. No Christian protests law and order. Further, since when are there two audience groups in Christianity? Or more than one audience? There lies the semantics of segregation. Finally, beautiful feet are not of those that just “hang out” with the unrepented. They are actually of those who preach the gospel continually. If he mixes with those crowds, why do they still keep him around? Preaching the gospel will make people uncomfortable because it convicts of sin.

For the record, I personally don’t feel he had to yell and/or scream to simply have that man understand that calling slavery a blessing was just downright wrong and insensitive. Lecrae is a dope artist though and i do understand in the middle of the moment he may have been to taken aback to realize hiw to respond.
@stephenjones83464 жыл бұрын
To all the folks in the comment section sharing their bias opinion like I'm going to share mine, you have to realize that from Lecrae's stand point he did the right thing. For having a "intelligent rebuttal", is useless. He was speaking with a person that has their mind made up about life. Which him giving his thoughts on how someone outside his race should view what they say as ignorant is a waste of time. I also do not knock Lecrae for trying to see it from a different perspective in which still you can see by how he expressed the situation it clearly bothered him. Which he said to prove my point, "he should have known better", because of his experience. Lastly I doubt anyone where would be in the position he was in to even address that man in a matter in which could paint "black people" in a postive tone any better then he did by subconsciously remaining in frame. Now with that being said, imma go back to minding my business.

Lecrae has an identity crisis. If you look at past conversations with "white evangelicals" he speaks proper and educated. But in interviews like this, he switches it up to appeal to his predominantly hip-hop audience, which is mostly black folks. He wants to play both sides to appease them. He boasts about protesting with BLM, but he was once doing apologetics with Ravi Zacharias and "Christian" concerts with Louie Giglio's church (Passion Conference) and had a following with that crowd. Which was predominantly white folks. He claims to not know Louie Giglio very well. But as a Christian myself, trust me, he knows Louie Giglio and Dan Cathy very well. He just folded when the moment called for him to be genuine because he had no time to think out his answer when his back was against the wall. But that shows you where his heart is really at. Christ said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. And Lecrae showed it by the words that he spoke.

I understand the laws and oppression, I'm asking a moral question expecting a moral answer. I understand that because of my skin color I'm "privileged" in this country. It's not like that in other parts of the world. As a white American I hate that fact, also how some black people stereotype all white people in such negative ways. We're Christians, children of God. We should be lifting each other up, live according to the word of God. I don't pay attention to the division going on because it only makes me angry. On a personal note white people have the most tainted history. The way I see it is no matter if someone speaks a different language, comes from a different ethnic background, we're all people.

Louie Giglio said what was on his mind and even explained what he meant when he said it. This was NOT a fumble. How does Lecrae know that slavery and its subsequent benefits is not seen as a blessing? To justify slavery, white preachers declared that the curse of Ham was the reason. The question is who else is preaching this way. It came from somewhere.

We as Christian's need to constantly be checked and humbled because it prepares us more for Christ. I pray lecrae continues to operate in the light. But soon he is gonna realize in order to achieve that he has to, as well as me, and we all need to understand that less is truly more. More means selling out... Heff Comedy as a ambassador for the Lord you are tasked with going into the world to make it a better place . How can you reach a new believer if you don’t interact with them? So that being said if you on a football team and half drink and do crazy things, you and the other half don’t . Do you not play football with them and possibly lose your livelihood once you find out? No you show them a better through your actions and by the Word of God. In lacraes case he is compromising himself by participating in secular events, he gives lukewarm answers to not offend ppl on certain issues. By those standards he has been compromised in order to stay and hopefully prosper from the industry. I do not condemn this man because we all have struggles and understand as long as he wrestle against this season in his life. he may later renounce this phase and be a testimony of the temptations and fall backs that help him finish the race strong and obedient.
