I listened to this album when it first dropped. It was good but because I was a ‘perfect’ Christian (according to my perspective) it wasn’t too relatable. Man what a great testimony this album is, Love IT! True Christians aren't perfect and we need someone that will not just talk about all the good. Jesus is still with us in the bad, but as humans we feel alone sometimes as HE lets us figure things out. Lecrae writes to those situations. It's needed! Jesus didn't get up and leave Lecrae's music but his music covers those times when it feels like Jesus isn't there for us. True fans know this and never left you Lecrae!

This song and Zombie are my top two and the one with John Legend is my 3rd! In this album, I see the Lecrae I fell in love with years ago: more grounded, real, less worldly, and whenever anyone hits the bottom, and they stay in a posture of prayer, the work after that is so rewarding to listen to! The crash and burn is sometimes the only way God can get your attention once he's lost it. I know! But the aftermath, the devil not destroying you when he absolutely had the chance, is a great win for God's Kingdom! We come harder than before, more authentic than before, and more truer than before. I am happy to hear his story on this album!

Thank you so so much Lecrae for being a willing useable vessel and putting real talk in your lyrics! I am a Believer who has struggled with depression and aniexty from an early age. For far too long I suffered in silence. I was ashamed and felt like a bad Christian because I couldn't say "too blessed to be stressed," "blessed and highly favored" or so many other slogans coined by well meaning Believers sharing their feelings/experience from their relationship with Christ. A part of me would die each time I got the courage to share my emotional state with another Believer and they would recite one of these phrases to me. I know those people trying to help encourage and assure me that things would get better but their intent did not change the hurt or condemnation I felt. These words sounded like confirmation that I was a bad Christian who lacked faith and true conviction that just needed to pray more and read the Bible more. I now know my love and devotion to Him is not conditioned, painted or measured by my feelings, struggles or anything short of my true identity which is in Christ alone. I now know the truth in 2 Corinthians 12:9 "So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. ... For when I am weak, then I am strong." My healing and path of restoration came from being honest, letting safe people in my life to walked through these dark days with me. They spoke the truth in love found in Scripture that broke down the lies from within I believed about myself and God and helped me reclaim the "reasonable happiness" I experience today! Thank you again for being unashamed about being a Christian who struggles - despite your success on this earth!
