Honest 🙋🏽‍♀️ - I started listening to Lecrae when I realized it was him. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I apologize for the offense (if any). I heard him with John Legend on the track "Drown" and I was drawn in. And more recently after CC4(Dry Clean Only) there are specific tracks I love, and I can relate to, because so many talk about the money, cash and the women, but not the pain of growing through traumatic life, being broke, in poverty, starting at the bottom, and still holding on to belief in God and fighting fear and faith. Now with him speaking on the "Deep End" I am listening to this track (one of my top 5 favs of Lecrae) but I'm hearing a different person. I'm learning about him through the words, his fans, and in prayer. And I'm grateful to just know that at least in Spirit I'm not alone, and someone honestly gets me. I am not a fan. I am a supporter. When I need some advice or real encouragement, I listen to Lecrae. When I need to escape and be in joy I listen to much Afro gospel, but mainstream I listen to is probably not where everyone else is. Either way. I'm just grateful that even on the "Pharcyde", that you keep "Passing me by" in the Spirit.
