I'm very excited to buy this bike for next summer car replacement. Gonna get the longest range. It will be more like 100 miles in my very hilly area, but that is still incredible for the price. I am excited to feel the torque sensor, don't love cadence or throttle. Also excited about the huge carrying capacity. I'm only 140 lbs so I'll be able to carry sooooo much, gonna play with that in all sorts of ways. Gonna play with solar and microhydro charging.

Ooooo, this might do it for me-I really wanted a cargo bike with front suspension and that USB port! That way the battery can be used as a power pack when the power goes out. I’m hoping the spokes will hold up with a load like that, because my understanding is that mag wheels might be better for bikes with a bigger payload? Spokes can come out of true, which means additional maintenance. But otherwise, this seems like a really nice cargo e-bike! Great price, battery options…And a torque sensor!😍💕

That's a really solid point Jen! When we get one, I'll get the mechanics thoughts on that and he will share them with you in the full review. -Mike

I’m car free so this bike would suit me just perfectly I do have a Velotric go 1 utility bike but it’s very much a cargo bike. I also have a Fuji e traverse that’s electric too. Maybe when those give out I’ll snatch one of these bad boys! Lectric is coming a long way I also like the smaller lectric bikes because if I ever live in an apartment I’ll still have very very nice transportation

Your growing a nice little collection of e-bikes! This would be a great dedicated ride in absence of a car, especially with its payload, turn signals and huge range numbers. -Mike

Thanks for the great review! I am just starting to look into e-bikes to replace our family car when we finally move, and it seems like Lectric ticks all the boxes so far:) Looking forward to learn more about the actual mechanical components installed. If I noticed correctly, it uses an 8-speed drivetrain? Also very curious about the safety features, if any are implemented. Unfortunately, bikes are way more prone to get stolen when left unattended, so I am wondering if there's any locking of the electronic systems present, like they have in Bosch mid-engine driven bikes...
@ElectricBikeReview7 күн бұрын
Hey Oleksandr! On the new Xpedition 2.0, its a 8-speed Shimano drivetrain, a bump up from the previous generations 7-speed. As far as security goes, the Xpedition 2.0 has a lockable and removeable battery (or dual battery) that can be taken off for security and even off the bike charging. Aside from that, a good bike lock should help keep it from rolling off with a new owner. Cheers! -Mike

@@ElectricBikeReviewthanks a lot for the follow up! Do you know if they plan on expanding beyond the States and Canada? Would be amazing to be able to buy one in Europe. Even with possible additional cost for shipping/licensing etc the price would still be very sweet, I am sure, as there is simply no one on the EU market who would offer similar quality for this price. Of course, they would have to get rid of the throttle and limit the power to 250W, but still... Anyway, thanks a lot, I am very glad that I found this channel!:)

one recomendation for xpedition bikes 1 or 2.0 get a shim, that fits the bike and the bike post they sell with the spring and the deelue seat they sell espcially when you hit a pot hole,, your spine will thankyou. sure its ilke 100 to 150 depending on deals but a shim is worth it. to have that suspension seat post oh major improvement sadly 1.0 doesnt have front suspension or if it does its not ost noticable but if your like me and tyring to transport heavy stufff with wagon in back its the bike for you or day to day going to work grocery shopping etc BINGO BANGO. and if you want to know how it handles that in reality see my other 1 of 3 comments

i like the bike and the improvements fer sure. the price is def reasonable also. but i seriously doubt you would get even 100 miles on it ( especially loaded ) let alone more :) just sayin cuz ive been doing electric bikes myself since 2002... i still like it tho and i am glad about the pricing more then anything ( because i have considered bikes like this in the past ) hell i spent 1/2 of what it costs just for an additional battery in the past. thanks for the video ! btw i wouldnt mind seeing that aspect tested IF you are feeling brave and want to make more videos about it

You're right, the range claims can be pretty optimistic, I'll be sure to give you a real-world test in the full review when I get the bike. -Mike
@chow-chihuang4903Ай бұрын
My XPedition is definitely the least efficient of my e-bikes. I run it with dual 14Ah batteries, and the range is maybe 60mi, not anywhere near what Lectric claims (up to 120mi). To be fair, I ride it only for larger shopping trips so the return trip includes hauling from 20-60lbs of cargo, and most of the routes are mostly in painted bike gutters so I try to ride as fast as I can when on those stretches. Those XL panniers and the large basket I attached on the front also create a lot of air drag. I doubt the 2.0 version will improve much on the efficiency aspect, though 2.5in wide tires should present less rolling resistance than the original’s 3in wide tires.
@oleksandrmatiash39076 күн бұрын
@@chow-chihuang4903the range spec is usually very optimistic indeed, as manufacturers use the lowest assist setting to measure it, meaning that most of the work will still be done by the rider... And, of course, transporting loads reduces the attainable range even more

@ElectricBikeReviewАй бұрын
I don't know what prices will be with the expected tariffs on the 3.0 when (or if) it gets released. This 2.0 was a very sweet upgrade from the 1.0 so who knows what will be next for Lectric. -Mike

Who else has the 1.0 and is kicking themselves right now? That new orbitor would be so much better for my kids. Plus the fact that it holds 2 full size milk crates… and of course the new orbitor is only compatible with the 2.0, not the 1.0. Adapter kit possible?

That's a great question, ill see if Lectric has an answer on that one. -Mike

Lectric should make quality smaller EUCs (Electric UniCycle). Particularly the ones that can be carried with one hand. Maybe to far outside their wheelhouse?
@ElectricBikeReviewАй бұрын
It would be cool, they would be the types to make a really strong contender that sells for much less. However, I don't know they would commit to a whole new micro mobility product line. Who knows though, given enough time and success they may dabble in other areas. -Mike

I know this is for the 2.0 but is there any information on whther the batteries on the 1.0 were UL certified? I just got one used and i am wondering If i should store these in the shed or garage is fine... This is my "peove you will use it" pirchase so i can get a "better" option next...a new 2.0 ultra-long range might be that better option...thoigh i really want something that has some weather protection options for th kdis so i can ride year round...not everyone loves in AZ like the product planners at Lectric, 😂
@ElectricBikeReviewАй бұрын
Hey there, the Xpedition 1.0 is no longer live on their site to verify, but, in looking at our old review it does not say they were UL certified, but rather ISO 4210 and UN 38.3 which is a lithium-ion battery safety test, you can check out more here: www.phmsa.dot.gov/training/hazmat/new-un-requirement-test-summaries. Hope that helps! -Mike

It's not political, no worries! Historically, Lectric has made a big effort in cutting other areas of overhead like reducing the amount of free accessories that come with a new bike trying to offset the tariff costs. Now, I don't know what will happen moving forward, but based on their past efforts, I'd expect them to keep costs as low as possible. -Mike
