Brought back little kid memories on the drinking from the water hose! Summerime, had breakfast sent outside to play till lunch then back outside till supper. When ya got thirsty you turned the spigot on waited for hot water to get out of the hose and go to slurping! I'm 63 now and I still drink from the hose when I'm outside working and don't wanna go inside and drink properly from a glass lol!

A comment on the buying water thing. My tap water sucks. So, I already have a great drinking water filtration system that is not tied into my main water supply. I also have a rain barrel and a fishpond in my back yard. Plus, I also have a good water filtration setup for when I go camping. BTW, you can buy this same setup for less than $40 at Walmart, Academy, or just about any other place that carries camping supplies.

The increased engine braking means that the carb is perfectly set up and needs less air/fuel at idle. This makes more vacuum which increases the engine breaking.
@PRB10984 жыл бұрын
That Lectron is a huge upgrade, S&S carbs are little more than a controlled fuel leak and the fairing was a good buy, I've seen people asking much more for worse. Your idle speed still bothers me though, is sounds too low, it should be around the 950 mark to avoid oil starvation
@shadetreesurgeon4 жыл бұрын
Luckily the idle adjusts just like a regular carb! I’ll try turning it up a bit
@PRB10984 жыл бұрын
Lectron make a great product, used them on an EF drag bike back in day, they aren't too fussy to set up either. Hopefully you'll get better gas mileage from it than the S&S, they really suck fuel. Biggest issue with the FXR is it only has 4.2 US gallons absolutely brimmed and a reserve that you can only use if you can see the next fuel stop.the actual fill up capacity is about 3-1/2 gallons and you should get about 40 to the gallon, but the drag pipes are robbing you too.

S&S super E carbs are not reknowned for gas mileage, but to get 100 miles to a 3.5 gallon tank, there is something amiss, engine condition (ya dont say...) or carb jetting. I'm a big fan of the Super E and the Mikuni on Evo's. Lectron sounds good, i have no experience with it.
