Thank you! BTW, here is a link to the official course website. It has links to these videos as well as the latest version of the notes and other resources to help you get your codes working. emlab.utep.edu/ee5390fdtd.htm

Hi I am interested to do simulation for convex lens, hence May I get any tutorial or manual for the same. Thank you
@empossible15777 жыл бұрын
I don't have anything on simulating lenses, although I have done it. It sounds like you may be more interested in ray tracing simulations than in full-vector wave simulations. This is not an area that I have much expertise, but I do maintain a list of open source electromagnetic software including ray tracing. emlab.utep.edu/opensource.htm Scroll down to "Electromagnetic Simulation Software" and look for the section on ray tracing. Hope this helps!

Would you be willing to post benchmarking aids and homeworks for this course? I am trying to follow along and develop my own, as with your course on computational E&M. In the meantime, do you have a suggestion for how I can rigorously benchmark developed FDTD codes?

Hey there are two hidden lectures, would it be possible to unhide them?

@@empossible1577 Hii sir, I am master student in electrical engineering, want to learn FDTD ,is there is comprehensive course of yours for this
@empossible15774 жыл бұрын
@@balkrishansharma7395 Yes! If you are a complete beginner to computation and electromagnetics, checkout the online course below. The entire first half is free to see if you like it and will still teach you most of FDTD: empossible.thinkific.com/courses/1D-FDTD This second is an entirely free course, but is a bit more complicated and intended to have an instructor present. empossible.net/academics/emp5304/

Hey, I really liked your lecture on the TMM (lecture 4). Do you think using Octave instead of MATLAB would be a severe limitation for implementing the methods you teach? If you don't know Octave that well, what do you think are the key functionalities that make MATLAB essential for your coding style? Thank you very much
@empossible157710 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I think Octave will do just fine. I provide a list of MATLAB clones here: emlab.utep.edu/resources.htm Scroll down and look under the heading "Scientific Programming."

@@michaelv6304 At some point hopefully. It seems I am continually teaching this course and need to keep the code lectures down. Very sorry!!!!
