These lectures are taught to IIT students as introduction to fluid mechanics in the SAME manner by himself. They are also in youtube and you can check. But it must be noted that Suman teaches the stuff very well

Professor in your description of the limit of del(x)/del(t), you said that it is basically the particle velocity. But if fluid is already being considered a continuum (and assuming a steady condition) and thus a flow field, thus the particle will acquire that particular velocity anyways.
