It will be easier to use forecasted demand and actual demand instead of using level. Also, the data has quarters,but during the lecture it’s confusing when you say determining forecast for February.Because data is in quarters,the forecast needs to be determined for next quarter and not next month or march. It’s simple. Forecast for current period= Forecast for last period+alpha( actual demand for last period- forecasted demand for last period).Also its easier if we assume Actual demand as A instead of S and Forecasted demand as F.

Sir can you please elaborate the S(t), I m having confusion regarding relationship between level S(t) and forecast F(t+1)
