Thank you so much for posting this! I am viewing this, nearly ten years later, in 2021! I have been struggling to visualize this, and am in my second analysis course. You sir just gave me what my instructors have been struggling to adequately (visually) explain. I now have a firm grasp of the concepts.

From 44:50 onwards, shouldn't the evaluation read |f_n(x)-0|=|x^n|\leq 2^{-n}\leq 2^{-N}\leq\epsilon? Thank you for this material, I found it helpful.
